A new free-to-play co-op The Witcher game is reportedly coming to mobile!

Do you miss Nilfgaard and Skellige? Fancy a bit more monster-slaying with dual swords? I’ve got some good news for you: CD Projekt is reportedly currently developing a new Witcher game, a co-op multiplayer ARPG for mobile and PC! Here’s everything we know so far.

Project Sirius: The new Witcher game coming to Android and iOS?

The Polish studio behind The Witcher franchise had already confirmed the existence of Project Sirius, a multiplayer game set in the world of Geralt of Rivia. Could this upcoming title be the next instalment for mobile and PC?

Gameplay from The Witcher 3

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the MP1st website reveals that CD Projekt is reportedly working on a free-to-play title inspired by Horizon Steel Frontiers, an MMORPG from the Horizon franchise (nothing to do with Light of Motiram!).

What we know about the gameplay of the upcoming The Witcher mobile game

Rumours surrounding the upcoming The Witcher game for mobile and PC mention a cross-platform experience featuring the main mechanics from previous instalments:

  • 💀 Monster hunting
  • 🌍 Exploring numerous environments already familiar from the series
  • ⚔️ A combat system based on the skills of different schools of Witcher, as well as on parries, blocks and finishing moves

A partnership with Scopely could confirm the rumour

For now, this Witcher game for mobile and PC remains a rumour. However, in March 2025, CD Projekt Red announced a partnership with Scopely, the developer of Monopoly GO, to work on adapting their franchises for mobile. Which ones? It’s a mystery...!

A risky move for CD Projekt Red in the mobile market?

As you’re no doubt aware, the mobile gaming market is lucrative but difficult to break into. I’d remind you that The Witcher: Monster Slayer, the augmented reality title, shut down just two years after its release.

The Witcher: Monster Slayer

But with the strength of the franchise and a format closer to Genshin Impact or Diablo Immortal, we might expect it to be a success.

We’ll of course keep you updated on the latest news regarding The Witcher mobile. But in the meantime, if you’re missing Geralt’s world, you can always give Reigns: The Witcher a go.
