Our editorial policy

Mobi.gg aims to provide news on video games for Android and iOS, as well as to support players. As such, our editorial policy focuses on delivering high-quality, reliable and informative content, covering a range of different content types.

Types of content published

  • Game guides: these include tier lists, as well as tips specific to each mobile game. We identify the main sticking points or the best tips for each game covered and offer clearly explained solutions.
  • Game reviews: using a rigorous methodology developed by Mobi.gg, we produce comprehensive reviews highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the games in question. The aim of these reviews is to help players determine whether the game in question meets their expectations or not.
  • News: we aim to keep our readers informed about the latest mobile games news. Every day, we publish news articles covering announcements of new games, release dates, as well as industry-focused pieces. To this end, we carry out regular monitoring. Mobi.gg guarantees that it will not publish any fake news or political content.
  • Codes: many developers of mobile games on Android and iOS regularly offer gift codes, which can be redeemed for rewards. On Mobi.gg, we publish lists of gift codes updated daily by our team members, so that our readers can take advantage of them and be kept informed as soon as a code becomes available.
  • Top Picks: to help our readers choose from the wide variety of mobile games available (gacha, MMORPGs, etc.), we regularly publish a selection of the best titles, based on our own experiences and objective criteria. Some of these articles are also accompanied by our own YouTube videos.

Choice of topics

The topics and games we cover on the site are chosen by the Mobi.gg editorial team, based on several criteria:

  • Timeliness: when it comes to news, we only choose so-called ‘hot’ topics, with announcements dating back no more than 24 to 48 hours. Our aim is to be among the first to share the information.
  • Trend analysis: we write guides on the games that are currently trending, to meet our readers’ expectations regarding the latest news.
  • Popularity: some games, even older ones, remain popular and continue to receive regular content and events. We therefore continue to cover these titles so that seasoned players can benefit from assistance as they progress.
  • Editorial experience: we play the games we cover. As a result, we are able to identify topics that need explaining to players and provide quick, comprehensive answers.

Our rating method

To provide its readers with high-quality reviews and top lists, Mobi.gg has developed its own methodology and a unique rating system. We take the following criteria into account, assigning both an objective score and a more subjective ‘feeling’ score:

  • The story: is it original? Are the characters and environments well-developed? How deep is the story?
  • Gameplay: is the loop satisfying and varied? Is the difficulty well managed? Are there accessibility and compatibility options?
  • Atmosphere: does the music enhance immersion? Is the interface optimised? Are the graphics satisfactory?
  • Longevity: does the game offer good longevity? Is the community active?
  • The business model: is it a free-to-play-friendly game? How much trust is there in the publisher?

A score between 0 and 10 is then awarded, based on the scores given for these various criteria.

To create our top lists, we test each game for between 2 and 10 hours. We also draw on content surrounding the game to gain a comprehensive overview. When creating our reviews, depending on the game in question, we test it for between 5 and 10 hours.
