A few days ago we told you about the postponement of Light of Motiram, and the dispute between Tencent and Sony. Well, it's now official: the game, which was heavily inspired by (not to say plagiarised from) the Horizon licence, has been removed from the stores. Here's what we know about the aftermath of the dispute between the two studios.
The RPG Light of Motiram, which has been available on Steam and Epic Game Store until now, has been removed from both PC stores (the game had not yet had an official Play Store and App Store page). This comes just as Sony's legal case against Tencent has come to an end.

According to The Verge, the two parties have reached a "confidential settlement", putting an end to the proceedings. In fact, it was Tencent's head of communications, Sean Durkin, who stated that the case would not be pursued any further.
“SIE and Tencent are pleased to have reached a confidential resolution and will have no further public comment on this matter."
However, the official Light of Motiram website is still online, but the Steam link redirects to the platform's homepage. The game's Discord server, meanwhile, still exists.
In our previous article on the subject, we explained that Tencent had put promotion of the game on hold until the hearing scheduled for early 2026 with Sony. The Chinese studio also said that its game would be delayed until the end of 2027.

However, this hearing will not take place, and we can already assume that Light of Motiram will never be released on PC or mobile stores. Either way, the game's future is very much in jeopardy, or it will have to be completely overhauled before it can be released. But don't worry, if you're looking for games like this to try out on mobile, we've got a selection of RPGs for Android and iOS for you!
