DCKO Announcement: get ready for a new DC fighting experience in 2027

I'm always curious to see how different studios handle DC's massive roster of heroes and villains. From massive adventures such as DC: Dark Legion to fighting games featuring some of the biggest superheroes in the world, there’s already a lot for fans to enjoy. But the DCKO announcement caught my eye because it’s taking a slightly different route. Instead of another traditional fighter, this new mobile game is focusing on fast-paced 2v2 tag battles.

The team behind DCKO is one of the most interesting parts of this announcement. The game is being developed by Drop Fake, a new studio founded by former developers from Marvel Contest of Champions. For mobile fighting game fans, that connection is definitely worth mentioning since the team already knows what it takes to create a successful superhero fighter. If anyone knows how to make superhero battles work on a phone, it’s the team behind one of the biggest mobile fighters out there. (No pressure, right?)

The game is set to release on Android and iOS in 2027, with pre-registration already available.
