Midnight Study

Bouncing projectiles off walls to defeat ghosts isn't exactly your everyday card game... and that's what makes Midnight Study Mobile so interesting. Following its success on Steam, the indie roguelike is officially heading to Android and iOS. Let's take a closer look at what awaits you!
I have to admit, Midnight Study mobile is one of those games that instantly caught my attention. A roguelike deck-builder where you don't just pick cards, but actually aim and bounce attacks around with a slingshot? It's definitely not your everyday mobile RPG (and honestly, I’m always happy to see games trying something a little different).
Originally released on Steam in 2025, Midnight Study is now making its way to Android and iOS. The mobile version is expected to launch on 9th November 2026, with the same ghost-filled adventures and unique slingshot mechanics that made the game stand out on Steam! Android players can already try out the demo through Google Play, so you don't have to wait until launch to get a first look.

At first glance, Midnight Study mobile might look like a regular deck-building game, but it quickly shows that it has a few tricks up its sleeve. Instead of simply choosing cards and watching attacks play out, you’ll use a slingshot to launch projectiles, bounce them around the environment, and hit enemies. The angle of your shots matters, so a little planning can go a long way!
The game takes place inside a mysterious haunted school inspired by Korean ghost stories, where you’ll guide four different school girls through dangerous encounters. Each run comes with new challenges and choices. This makes every attempt feel a little different. Between building your deck and figuring out the best way to handle each fight, there’s plenty of strategy involved.

Here are some of the main features you’ll get to experience:
At the very least, Midnight Study brings something different to the table, and I’m curious to see how it feels once it lands on mobile!
We’ll have to wait and see how Midnight Study mobile combat feels on a smaller screen, but it’s already shaping up to be a fun one to watch. If you enjoy games that test your planning skills, check out our list of the best mobile strategy games.
