What is the 2D Kitty in Adopt Me (2D Kitty)?

The 2D Kitty in Adopt Me first appeared on 1 April 2021. It reappeared at Christmas 2025 and has since been the focus of a regular in-game event: 2D Tuesday. Every Tuesday, for one hour, you have a chance to get the 2D Kitty in Adopt Me.

What makes 2D Kitty so special is its unique appearance. Unlike other Adopt Me pets, the cat isn’t in 3D but in 2D, with a flat design. It’s also a Legendary pet.

How do you get the 2D Kitty during 2D Tuesday?

One way to get the 2D Kitty in Adopt Me is to take part in 2D Tuesday. Here’s a step-by-step guide to give you a chance of getting it.

1. Take part in 2D Tuesday

As the name suggests, 2D Tuesday takes place every Tuesday at the following times:

• 4.00 pm in Europe
• 3 pm in the UK
• 4 pm in South Korea
• 6.00 pm in Australia
• 7.00 pm in the US (Eastern Time)

To take part in the event, simply click on the Adopt Me icon, then on the 2D Tuesday banner. You’ll then receive a notification as soon as the event begins.

2. Complete the missions

As soon as the 2D Tuesday event begins, you’ll receive a temporary 2D Kitty. To get the permanent version of the 2D Kitty in Adopt Me, you’ll need to complete the 20 missions on offer, known as ‘needs’. If you succeed, you’ll receive a 2D Box.

3. Open a 2D Box to get the 2D Kitty

Unfortunately, there’s no guarantee you’ll get the 2D Kitty when you open a 2D Box. That’s right – you only have a 2 per cent chance of getting it! So you’ll need to take part in 2D Tuesday again to try and get the 2D Kitty in Adopt Me.

How to get the 2D Kitty in Adopt Me through trading

If you didn’t get the 2D Kitty via 2D Tuesday, you have no other choice: you’ll have to get it by trading with another player. In this case, you’ll need to offer another legendary pet. You can also offer a Neon Pet and an Ultra-Rare pet.
