Ganyu in Genshin Impact is a 5-star Cryo Archers. She is one of the best heroes in the game. When properly mastered, she inflicts considerable damage on her enemies. However, her gameplay differs from the other characters and will require training to use her to her full potential: you have to stay at a distance, favour charged attacks and target your opponents' weak points. How to play Ganyu in Genshin Impact ?

Ganyu is a support DPS of choice. Her elemental rampage Celestial Shower drops icicles over a wide area for 15 seconds. With a good energy recharge, you can use this skill all the time. With the Harmony between Heaven and Earth passive, Cryo characters in the area of Celestial Shower gain a 20% bonus to Cryo damage.

The Cryo archer also asserts itself as the main DPS. Its gameplay is based on charged attacks. Her normal Liutian Archery attack benefits from two charges. Charging once, you fire Ice Arrow generating Cryo damage. Charging twice, you unleash a Frost Arrow that deals area damage as it explodes. If you have trouble aiming, the damage will still be applied.

To distract the enemies, use Ganyu's elemental skill: Qilin's Trace. The Ice Lotus attracts enemies, then explodes.

The best artefacts for Ganyu

On the artifact side, we recommend 3 sets in particular:

• 4-pieceVagabond Band: You receive an 80-point elemental mastery bonus and your charged attacks are boosted by 35% if you use a bow or a catalyst.
• 4-pieceIce Breaker: The set gives you a 15% Cryo damage bonus and 20% CRIT rate if the enemy is frozen.
• Ancient Royal Ritual in 4 pieces: the set increases the elemental rampage by 20% and the attack of the whole team after activating it. This is a good choice for playing Ganyu in support. It is also possible to opt for only 2 pieces of the set to combine with 2 pieces of Icebreaker.

For the main artifact stats, go forATK% on the hourglass, Cryo damage bonus for the cut and DMG critical on the crown. For subs, go forATK%, critical damage, CRIT rate, elemental mastery and energy recharge.

Ganyu's climbing materials in Genshin Impact

To raise Ganyu to level 90, you must collect the following resources:

• 419 Hero's Wit and 2.1 million Moras;
• 1 Sliver, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunks and 6 Shivada Jade Gemstones, as well as 46 Hoarfrost Core. Get them from theCryo Regisvine.
