If the Burning reaction entices you, there is no reason for you not to pull Emilie in Genshin Impact. Fontaine's newest character, Emilie is the very first unit to join the roster that utilizes the Burning reaction to double or triple her damage output. Although this reaction seems to be the weakest of them all, she is expected to be a strong unit especially if you manage to follow this Emilie Genshin Impact guide, showcasing all of her best artifacts, weapons and teams.
Emilie Genshin Impact is revealed to be an ATK-scaling Dendro polearm off-field sub-DPS who makes use of the Burning reaction to deal a lot more damage. Having that said, you will need to form a team consisting of Emilie herself, alongside other Pyro characters.
Thanks to Emilie's ability to deal damage and apply the Dendro aura off-field, she can be played with on-field Pyro DPS such as Arlecchino. During Arlecchino's normal attack, Emilie can also contribute damage via her elemental skill. Arlecchino's continuous attacks, and Emilie's great Dendro application ensure the uptime of Burning, which the Dendro sub-DPS needs to increase her damage.
To boost the team's damage, slot in Bennett who will also serve as the healer of the team. Finally, add Zhongli to the slot to prevent Arlecchino from dying using his shield, especially since she cannot really benefit from the healing provided by Bennett.
Aside from Arlecchino, Emilie can also be paired with other mono-pyro teams. Unlike other Pyro damage dealers, Lyney does not heavily rely on elemental reactions, and is better off with pyro characters. While Burning does not actually buff Pyro damage, the same way Melt and Vape does, Lyney really wont have any issue playing alongside Dendro characters. To further maintain the Burning status, Xiangling and Bennett can enter the team.
The best weapons for Emilie in Genshin Impact
Take a look at the best weapons you can have for Emilie Genshin Impact!
The best weapon set for Emilie in Genshin
Lumidouce Elegy is a Crit rate weapon that also increases her ATK. Generally, this is a great polearm weapon for any DPS or sub-DPS that scales off ATK. This weapon though requires the presence of Burning reaction on the field to gain access to damage increase, which can go up to 36%. Additionally, this gives 12 energy useful for her burst.
Alternatively, you could opt for Calamity Queller. When building Emilie, you need to get as much ATK, that's why Calamity Queller is a great candidate. By equipping this weapon, Emilie receives ATK values from substats and from passive effect. When she's off-field, she also receives higher ATK buff.
The best F2P weapons for Emilie
On a more free-to-play side, Missive Windspear can be considered as her best four-star polearm weapon. Upon triggering elemental reactions, Emilie receives an ATK increase from this weapon's passive effect. Emilie can easily maintain the uptime of this, thanks to her excellent application.
If you need more Energy recharge, Favonius Lance could also be a good pick. It gives Energy recharge and some energy particles as well to other party members. This could be a recommended weapon for solo dendro comps. However, do remember that as a sub-DPS, she still needs to have ATK and Crit rate.
The best artifacts for Emilie Genshin Impact
Here are the best artifact sets that you can ever have for Emilie Genshin Impact, whether you're a newbie or a veteran!
Best artifact sets for Emilie
Unfinished Reverie remains as Emilie's best-in-slot artifact. Its two-piece effect grants ATK increase, and the full set gives 50% damage increase when she's off the field. This effect decreases when there are no burning opponents, so it is important for the burning reaction to be present. In return, this gives an additional 50% damage buff, for a total of 100%.
Deepwood Memories can also be a good option. This artifact set adds Dendro damage bonus and decreases the resistance the enemies have against Dendro damage. By equipping full set of this artifact, she becomes more capable of dealing higher amounts of damage to the enemies.
Genshin's best F2P artifacts for Emilie
Brave Heart adds a good amount of ATK while increasing Emilie's damage to enemies with more than 50% HP.
Meanwhile, Gambler is a good alternative if you want to boost the damage of your elemental skill. We do not recommend equipping its full set though as it has shorter cooldown than duration.

Emilie's attacks in Genshin
Emilie puts out a Lumidouce Case, capable of firing Puffs of Puredew at the opponents dealing Dendro damage. When the enemies are affected by Burning, they will give off Scents at intervals and the case absorbs it. Upon gathering 2, it will level up to level 2 which will fire even more damage. When there are no Scents present in the battlefield for 8s, it will go back to level 1.
Periodically, Emilie deals Pneuma-aligned damage through her skill.
Meanwhile, Emilie's burst, Aromatic Explication creates a level 3 case and removing all existing case. This case will continuously cause scented dew to descend, and deal more dendro damage. When the duration of this burst ends, it will go back to the level of the case that was stowed away.
Emilie's passives
Burning does not only affect opponents, but allies too. That said, her passive skill that allows the team to gain 85% Pyro Res when Lumidouce Case is present is beneficial for the team's survival.
Lingering Fragrance on the other hand, will allow her to consume scents and release cleardew cologne that deals AOE Dendro damage according to Emilie's ATK, upon collecting 2 scents at level 2.
Lastly, Emilie's Rectification enables Emilie to deal increased DMG to burning opponents based on her ATK, with every 1,000 ATK. At maximum, she can gain 36% damage bonus. That said, it is really important for Emilie to stack as much ATK.
