The Child Who doesnt exist of the Arlecchino Story Quest Ignis Purgatorius Act 1

Begin the quest by visiting Poisson, where you'll find Lyney, who revealed that 'Father' had made arrangements to move his children to Poisson. Shortly afterward, Arlecchino herself appeared unexpectedly and explained that she moved everyone to Poisson to weed out a 'Phantom Child' among them.

Accompany Lyney as he takes you to a rented house, then help him distribute supplies to the other children. Upon returning to the house, he notices Freminet, who asks for extra food and clean clothes. Lyney finds this request suspicious and quickly senses that his brother might be hiding something from him.

With no other option, Freminet takes the Traveler, Lyney, and Paimon behind a ship, where he introduces them to a red-haired girl named Clervie. Although she claims to be from the House of Hearth, Lyney is certain that none of the children are named Clervie, and he quickly realizes that she is the “Phantom Girl” Arlecchino is searching for. This revelation startles Lyney, as hiding the person Arlecchino is seeking could be seen as betrayal, and he might face consequences for it. However, Freminet refuses to turn her in, explaining that she was the voice that guided him in saving Chepleau from poison.

After a private conversation between Lyney and Freminet, Lyney concludes that Clervie must leave. However, Freminet reveals that leaving is not an option because she follows wherever the House goes. Despite this, Lyney decides to help Freminet, and then Lynette suddenly appears and agrees to join them.

After which, continue to speak to Clervie to know her origins.

Arlecchino Story Quest Ignis Purgatorius Act 1 - Sea Breeze Rendezvous

Head to the seaside near Poisson to find Arlecchino. There, you discover her in conversation with Childe, who has just returned to Fontaine.

After a lengthy conversation with The Knave and Tartaglia, return to Poisson to meet with Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Lyney mentioned that Clervie can't go out in the sunlight, while Lynette found an execution list, which does not include Clervie's name.

The Traveler and Paimon attempt to rest inside the rented house, but they can't because they see Clervie walking out of town. Follow the navigation and look for Clervie.

Go back to the seaside to speak with Arlecchino, only to find out that she knew about their deception from the start. She then instructs them to follow her to the Palais Mermonia in the Court of Fontaine. After a brief discussion with The Knave, enter the Palais Mermonia and follow the navigation to reach Neuvillette.

After the conversation with Neuvillette, the three of them head out. They meet a man selling newspapers, and Paimon complains about being hungry. Fortunately, Arlecchino plays along.

Into the Sunlight - Final part of Arlecchino Story Quest Ignis Purgatorius Act 1

For the final part of the Arlecchino Story Quest, head to the nameless ruins at Mont Esus East. To get there, use the designated teleport waypoint and make your way to the marked location. 

Once you arrive, a cutscene reveals Clervie's past. Before becoming a Harbinger, Clervie was killed by her own mother, Crucabena, who also happened to be the “Mother” of the House. The cutscene depicts the cruel treatment the children endured under Mother's control and Dottore's influence. Despite this harsh environment, Clervie had one friend, “Peruere” or Perrie, who also saw through "Mother"’s lies.

Peruere suggested killing Crucabena to free themselves from her oppressive control, but Clervie opposed this plan, knowing how powerful Crucabena could be. However, after a duel, Clervie was killed by Peruere. A year later, Arlecchino reveals that Peruere killed Crucabena at the very same spot, became a Harbinger, and took on the name "Arlecchino."

Soon after, the children arrive, along with the traitors who were mentioned earlier. As Arlecchino prepares to begin the "execution," everyone—including the trio and the Traveler—tries to stop it. The Knave agrees to hold off on the execution, but only if they win a duel.

The Traveler challenges The Knave to a boss fight in the same arena.

For this boss battle, we recommend having a strong healer or at least an NRE, as these can be used to clear the Bond of Life that The Knave applies to your character. Clearing the Bond of Life allows you to perform a charged attack that deals true damage to her and staggers her.

When fighting The Knave, take note of her two phases:

• Phase 1: She attacks with a single scythe. If her HP drops below 70%, her attacks and abilities become enhanced.
• Phase 2: When her HP reaches 9%, she becomes invincible and transitions to phase two, where she attacks with dual scythes.

After the battle, Arlecchino spoke to her children, revealing the truth about the planned "execution." She explained the ruse and the reasons behind it. Additionally, Arlecchino officially released Clervie from the House of the Hearth, allowing her to leave behind the nightmare and seek freedom from her past. 

Once done, use the Time from the Paimon menu to adjust the time to two days later. 

Then visit the Hotel Bouffes d’ete and find Lynette and Freminet who are still recovering from the duel.
