How to Unlock and Start Genshin Impact Threefold Expectations

Genshin Impact Threefold Expectations is a world quest that can be unlocked only after finishing the first part of Chenyu Vale's main quest, Chenyu's Blessings of Sunken Jade, Qiaoying of the Sacred Mountain.

This world quest can be initiated by visiting Qiaoying Village, located in the northeastern part of Chenyu Vale. Use the teleport waypoint, and you will immediately spot an old man with a blue exclamation mark above his head. Interact with him to start the quest.

How to Complete the Threefold Expectations - Full Quest Guide

Listed down below are the steps that you will need to do in order to finish the Threefold Expectations. Upon speaking with Uncle Luo, alongside the Tea Cauldron technician, Hautemontagne.

Help Mountain adjust the three Monoliths (0/3) of the Genshin Impact Threefold Expectations

After speaking with Uncle Luo and Hautemontagne, three quest markers will appear around the Qiaoying Village.

Pyro Monument: Tap on the Pyro monument and it will spawn a platform with another Jade Incense Cauldron that will move up and down continuously. Same as the rest of the Jade Incense Cauldron puzzle, players will have to align the cauldron with the centers to light them up.

In this case, there are four Jade censers located at different levels: one near the monument, two slightly above the water, and one below. Timing is crucial for this puzzle. Wait for the cauldron to align with each level and press "T." Begin from the top and quickly descend below as soon as the cauldron moves.

Finishing this puzzle gives an Exquisite chest.

Hydro Monument: Interact with the Hydro monument and the lotus lamps around you will start to move. Walk towards the rotating lotus lamp and investigate it.

Defeat the Hydro slimes that it will spawn to reveal a lotus lamp. Afterwards, take the Lotus Lamp and sprint towards all of the little lamps to complete it. Complete the puzzle to receive an exquisite chest.

Anemo Monument: Interact with the Anemo monument which will call forth a wind current. Use the wind current, then the Golden Carp's Leap to reach the floating platforms.

Make sure to bring a bow character as you will have to get rid of floating anemo slimes to finish the puzzle. Like every other puzzle, this will give an exquisite chest.

Genshin Impact Threefold Expectations - Return to Qiaoying Village and look for Uncle Luo

Use the teleport waypoint and go back to the Qiaoying Village. Look for Uncle Lao then you will be transported into a domain.

Clear out all of the elemental creatures that have accumulated within the teapot

Be sure to bring characters who can beat Pyro and Hydro slimes, hence we recommend running a cryo team composition. Bringing a bow character is also a great idea so you can easily defeat the Eye of the Storm.

Upon arriving at the new domain, you will have to battle against waves of enemies.
