In this recap #230, we take a look at the week's must-have mobile games releases, mobile news and pre-registrations/test phases not to be missed.

Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Sengodai is available on Play Store for $7. It's a roguelike card game where you collect creatures to build your deck and progress through a series of randomly generated challenges and events.
  • Maneater, a port of the PC game, has been released on Play Store and App Store. To play as the killer shark in this action RPG, you'll need to spend $10.
  • Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge, another PC port, is also available on Play Store and App Store. Collect frogs and try to make them happy by adapting their environment.
  • Contra Guns is out on Play Store and App Store. In 3rd person view with scope/no scope, shoot your best headshots, and find cover to fend off the fire.

Then there's Spilled, a kind of Powerwash, available on Play Store and App Store for $5. Dawnmaker, the single-player strategy game, is also available from Play Store and App Store. Bluey's Quest for the Gold Pen is also available on Play Store and App Store for $13. Meanwhile, #DRIVE Rally, the retro-style racing game, has been released on iOS for $10.

And finally, Shotgun King is the free game of the week on Epic Game Stores mobile.

Pre-registrations, announcements, updates and testing phases

Here's a selection of the pre-registrations and beta releases that made their mark this week on Android and iOS.

  • Seven Deadly Sins Origin, the Genshin-like game, has announced a release date of 28 January 2026 on Play Store and App Store. This adaptation of the famous anime licence brought to you by Netmarble will feature an open world with dynamic combat and superb landscapes.
  • Rust Mobile has launched its closed beta until 26 December. This test phase, which has been postponed until the end of 2025, offers additional modes and a larger map at the heart of the classic Rust survival experience.
  • Rainbow Six Mobile will be released in full on Play Store and App Store on 23 February 2026. It's taken 3 years for this tactical game to reach us in its complete form, and frankly, we weren't expecting it any more.
  • Silt will impose its horror atmosphere on Play Store and App Store on 20 January. Use the creatures to solve puzzles and don't be afraid of the surreal nature around you.

Meanwhile, Arknights Endfield has been announced for release on 22 January 2026, and Tomb Raider 2013 on Play Store and App Store on 12 February 2026.
