Chief Gear is a crucial feature that unlocks later in the game. Enhancing Chief Gear boosts your troops' Attack and Defense stats, helping you increase your overall power. Whiteout Survival Chief Gear mechanics
Whiteout Survival Chief Gear plays a crucial role when it comes to increasing your overall power and improving your troops' performance in Whiteout Survival. There are 6 gear slots to fill, and each one is designed for a specific piece of Chief Gear. The Chief Gears are troop-specific—each gear is made for either Lancers, Infantry, or Marksmen.
Equipping the right Chief Gear can significantly increase the attack and defense stats of your troops, giving you an upper hand in battles. But always remember, you need to upgrade your Whiteout Survival Chief Gear alongside your Hero Gear. Ignoring one can hold back your troops and slow down your overall progress in the game.
How to unlock Chief Gear in Whiteout Survival?
When you open your Chief Profile by clicking on your avatar in the top-left corner, you’ll see six locked gear slots. These slots are where your Chief Gear will eventually go.
To unlock Chief Gear, you need to upgrade your Furnace to level 22. Once your Furnace hits this level, all six gear slots will automatically unlock, allowing you to equip Chief Gear and start boosting your troops’ stats.

Whiteout Survival Chief Gear Enhancement
To upgrade or enhance each piece of Whiteout Survival Chief Gear, you’ll need two key materials:
- Hardened Alloy
- Polishing Solution
Both Hardened Alloy and Polishing Solution can be obtained through events and various in-game shops, including Crazy Joe, the Alliance Championship Shop, Foundry Shop, Polar Terror, and Beast Slay.
Once you’ve gathered the required materials, simply select the Chief Gear you want to upgrade and click "Enhance". This will level up the gear, boosting its stats and improving your troops’ performance.
