Whiteout Survival Troop Guide: strategy, management and upgrades

Whiteout Survival troops Guide

Understanding how to manage your Whiteout Survival troops can be a game-changer. They make up most of your squad in a battle and need constant training and upgrades. This detailed guide will walk you through the different types of troops, their roles, and how to use them effectively to gain the upper hand in battles.

Whiteout Survival Troops and Their Roles

Troops are the backbone of your forces in Whiteout Survival, with Heroes leading them into battle. There are different types of troops, each playing a unique role in combat. To maximize your army's potential, make sure to invest in the right Whiteout Survival Heroes

Here’s a breakdown of the different types of Whiteout Survival troops and their roles:

Infantry

The Infantry class excels in close-range combat, thanks to their high durability and ability to absorb heavy damage. They are typically positioned in the front row during battles. You can unlock the Infantry troops in Whiteout Survival when you reach Furnace level 7. This allows you to unlock an Infantry Camp where Infantry troops are trained.

Whiteout Survival troops formation strategy

Regardless of the battle type, Whiteout Survival troops formation plays a vital role in determining the outcome of the fight. The troop formation heavily depends on your strategy. Here are some troop formation strategies you can try:

  • Aggressive Formation: If you want to take the fight to your opponent and really put the pressure on, go for an aggressive strategy. Lean more on Lancers and Marksmen and less on Infantry. This way, you’ll boost your damage output and outmatch your opponent. The idea is to hit hard and fast, keeping the pressure on and making it tough for them to catch up. This formation strategy works perfect for battles where you're trying to take control of a facility or a building.
  • Defensive Formation: For a defensive strategy, focus on strengthening your front line with more Infantry troops. They’ll take the brunt of the enemy’s attacks and hold the line, while your other troops handle the offense from behind. This approach is ideal for defending your territory from invaders, as it lets you maintain a solid defense while your attackers clear out the enemies.
  • Balanced Formation: The balanced formation, where you evenly distribute all three troop classes, is ideal for PvE battles, including fights against beasts and monsters. This setup makes sure you have a well-rounded strategy, with Infantry taking damage, Lancers providing versatile attacks, and Marksmen dealing damage from a distance.

Whiteout Survival Fire Crystal troops

At higher levels, players will unlock a rare currency called Fire Crystals. You can collect these crystals throughout the game, but they won’t be usable until you hit Furnace Level 30. Once you reach that milestone, you can use Fire Crystals to upgrade various buildings, including the troop camps for Lancers, Marksmen, and Infantry.
