The Winter Frost Season has invaded Heartopia with its mysterious 'Frostspore Butterflies'. They're beautiful, but hard to find! Don't worry: in this guide, I'll tell you where to find each Heartopia Frostspore Butterfly, the full list of species and tips on how to catch them without missing a trick.

Prerequisites before hunting Frostspore Butterflies

To be able to catch your first Heartopia Frostspore Butterfly, you first need to unlock Insect Catching, one of the game's hobbies. If you haven't already done so, here's a summary:

1. Reach D .G. Member level 6
2. Offer a hobby expansion voucher to Naniwa, the Insect Catching mentor
3. Collect the insect net

Location of each Heartopia Frostspore Butterfly

Frostspore Butterflies are only available during the Winter Frost Season in Heartopia. As soon as this event is over, the butterflies will disappear from the game.

Frostspore Butterflies are found in a single area: the forest to the east of the island.

• The Frostspore Purple Spotted Swallowtail, the Frostspore Queen Alexandra's Birdwing and the Frostspore Sulkowsky's Morpho are all found around the forest lake.
• The Frostspore Mother-of-Pearl is also found in the forest, particularly in the panda area.

⚡ My tip: Open your map and teleport to the Lake bus station. You'll arrive directly at the location of every Frostspore Butterfly in Heartopia.

You can find each Frostspore Butterfly in Heartopia to capture, in the Winter Frost Season menu (the snowman icon).

Frostspore Butterflies earn you illustration points for the season.

The gaming community believes that the final butterfly will be unlocked during the third week of the Winter Frost Season.

How do you capture a Heartopia Frostspore Butterfly?

To catch Winter Frost Season butterflies, all you have to do is go to the right place at the right time and use your insect net. Frostspore Butterflies are caught in the same way as other insects:

1. Spot a Frostspore Butterfly
2. Approach it gently, so as not to frighten it away
3. Press and hold the button on the insect net to capture the butterfly in a bubble.

And that's it, you've captured your very first Frostspore Butterfly!
