Vanya is one of the main NPCs in Heartopia. He appears very quickly, right at the start of the tutorial, to teach you his job: fishing.

Where to find Vanya (Location and opening times)

Most of the time, you'll find Vanya in Garden Street, in Heartopia's town centre. But it's not an exact science, and you can also find him down by the water. After all, he's a fisherman! Open your map and find Heartopia Vanya icon. Just click on 'Follow' to find him.

Heartopia Vanya's quests

As I said earlier, Vanya can be unlocked very quickly in Heartopia, right from the start of the tutorial. So you won't have to do anything special to meet him. After that, Vanya will give you fishing lessons and take part in seasonal events.

Fishing lessons

As you progress through Heartopia, Vanya will give you a number of fishing lessons:

• The basic fishing tutorial, which will enable you to unlock the fishing rod
• How to use bait to catch certain types of fish
• The basics of the weather, to identify the best fishing periods
• Advanced techniques to help you catch more rare fish

Seasonal events

Heartopia Vanya will also be involved in seasonal events. For example, the NPC had a special stand during the Winter Frost Season.
