Yun Jin is a 4-star Geo character, who arrived at the same time as Shenhe, in update 2.4 of Genshin Impact. Like the Cryo Warrior, her gameplay is burst support oriented. If you play a main DPS that regularly uses normal attacks, Yun Jin will definitely be a good support character. How to play Yun Jin in Genshin Impact ?

Yun Jin is a support character. His elemental rampage Cliff Breaking Banner grants a Banner of Nakedness to all characters in the team. Their normal attacks will then be boosted according to Yun Jin's DEF (32% when his ability is at level 1 and about 58% at level 10). Each character gets 30 charges. If you hit several enemies, the same number of charges will be used up.

The Open Expansion elemental attack generates a lot of energy particles and Geo damage based on Yun Jin's defence. When pressed long, the ability creates a shield. The damage absorption is proportional to Yun Jin's maximum HP. It then bursts into a wave of Geo energy. By activating the ability when you are attacked, you can protect yourself while inflicting a double charge on your opponents, thanks to the True to Self passive.

The best artefacts for Yun Jin

As with most Geo characters, the best set of artifacts for a defense build is undoubtedly Shell of Opulent Dreams. The 4-piece set grants a 30% DEF bonus and Curiosity charges after hitting an enemy with a Geo skill. You can stack up to 4 stacks, each granting a 6% bonus to DEF and Geo damage.

If you don't have 4 pieces of the set in your possession, you can put only 2 pieces of the Emblem of Broken Destiny. The set increases the energy recharge by 20%. Otherwise, 2 pieces of the Ancient Rock set for a 15% Geo damage gain will do.

Yun Jin can also be equipped with the 4-piece Ancient Royal Ritual set. It increases the damage of the elemental rampage and theATK of all characters after an elemental rampage.

In terms of stats, you should focus on defence on each artefact. Same thing for sub-stats. You can also opt for energy recharge and damage and critical rate.

The best weapons for Yun Jin

Genshin Impact does not yet offer a Hast weapon with defense stats to perfect Yun Jin's equipment in this sense. However, the Scion of Victory (4★) is a good alternative due to its passive. TheATK and DEF are increased by 16% in the presence of at least 2 enemies.

The other option is to choose weapons that increase criticality and energy recharge such as :

• Spear of Favonius(4★): critical hits have a 60% chance of generating 6 energy points.
• "The Catch"(4★): increases elemental rampage damage by 16% and critical rate by 6%. You can pick up this weapon directly in-game through fishing.
• Stellar Guisarme (4★): provides energy recharge and increases normal and charged attacks after activating an elemental ability. You can craft this weapon at the blacksmith's shop and thus more easily refine it.

• 1 Shard, 9 Fragments, 9 Pieces and 6 Gems of Prithivia Topaz and 46 Rift Regalia to be looted from the Golden Alpha Wolf;

Which team should Yun Jin play in?

Yun Jin is a rather niche character. She won't fit into every team. To fully exploit her burst, you must meet two conditions: play her with a main DPS using mostly normal attacks and play at least 3 heroes of different elemental types. Thanks to the Convention Rejection passive, the damage bonus of the Banner of Nakedness is increased according to the number of elements present in your team.

Characters like Razor, Yoimiya, Eula and Noëlle will benefit greatly from Yun Jin's boost.

For example, you can put together a team of 4-star characters: Razor, Kaeya, Bennett and Yun Jin. Or if you have Yoimiya, play her with Yun Jin, Bennett and Xingqiu.
