Genshin Impact Kaveh, the architect behind the Palace of Arcazarzaray, is a 4-star Dendro character in Genshin Impact 3.6 that utilizes a Claymore. In this in-depth guide, we will tackle how to get Kaveh, the best builds, talent priority, weapons, best teams to pair with with, and some tips on how to play Kaveh for beginners. Also, stay tuned for some other fun facts!
If you're still wondering how to unlock Kaveh, look no further. You can only get this 4-star character at Gacha, especially on the 3.6 character event banner. Although you can claim him on standard and weapon banners, the chances are slim. Your best chance of getting him is when Kaveh is on the event banner, making him the rate-up character.
Kaveh is one of the 4-star characters in the Baizhu’s Character Event Wish Banner. He was officially launched on May 2, 2023, during the second phase of the update 3.6 of Genshin Impact.
Kaveh's constellations are exemplary, to say the least, as all of them synergize well with his kit. Kaveh's C1 constellation provides more survivability in terms of triggering Dendro Cores, while his C2 does increase his normal attack speed, which is not beneficial for him in Bloom teams. His C4 is his best constellation regarding Bloom damage, as it buffs its damage whenever Kaveh triggers a Dendro Core.
Kaveh’s C6 urther increases his overall DPS as it deals an area of effect Dendro Damage whenever his normal attacks hit under his Elemental Burst that causes any Dendro Cores to explode immediately.
Kaveh is an on-Field Dendro character that triggers Dendro Cores in Bloom or Hyperbloom teams. His playstyle mainly focuses on making the Dendro Cores explode with Kaveh’s Elemental Skill, Artistic Ingenuity. His elemental burst is his bread and butter, as it buffs the damage of the explosion of Dendro Cores while also healing him due to one of his passive talents, An Architect’s Undertaking.
In this Genshim Impact Kaveh guide, we’ll tackle one of his playstyles, on which you focus on triggering Dendro Cores with his Elemental Skill, Artistic Ingenuity, as it scans Dendro Cores created around Kaveh and immediately makes them explode which also increases the explosion damage of each triggered Dendro Core by his Elemental Skill, thanks to his Elemental Burst, Painted Dome.
Kaveh’s elemental burst, Painted Dome, is his bread and butter for buffing his damage for Bloom teams. It provides increased Resistance to interruption, increased Bloom damage, and normal, charged, and plunging attack damage while infusing Dendro into all his normal attacks.
Nevertheless, Kaveh’s first ascension passive synergizes well with Bloom teams as the on-field Bloom driver. It is because when the Dendro Core damage hits Kaveh, his first Ascension Passive, An Architect’s Undertaking, heals him to 300% of his Elemental Mastery. This Passive is excellent for active characters in Bloom teams, such as Kaveh, as the Dendro Cores can sometimes hurt, especially in large numbers.
In this alternative Kaveh playstyle, Kaveh is the on-field character when dealing Spread damage to the enemy using his Dendro-infused normal attacks. And suppose you didn’t know what Spread damage is. In that case, Spread damage is the byproduct of further Dendro applications right after triggering Quicken, which can be triggered by Dendro and Electro elements.
If you wish to use this playstyle for Kaveh, you should also prioritize leveling up his normal attacks, aside from his Elemental Burst, as it can be infused with Dendro damage. Leveling up his normal attacks further increases its damage multiplier, thus increasing his Spread damage using his infused normal attacks.
You should also focus on getting characters that are beneficial for him in terms of Spread damage, like Fischl or Lisa, for free-to-play options. These characters are some of the best Electro damage users, even for a F2P option.
In order to figure what’s the best equipment for Kaveh, we must determine what main stats and talent that should be considered on his artifact sets depending on the playstyle of players who want to play Kaveh, which includes being the on-field Bloom DPS or Main Spread DPS.
In this section of our guide, we gathered some of the best artifacts and weapons to equip on Kaveh from Genshin Impact to unlock its full potential.
As we’ve said earlier in our Genshin Impact Kaveh guide, Kaveh excels primarily in Bloom teams, so you need to build him this artifact set. The 4-piece Flower of Paradise Lost effectively buffs any Bloom, Burgeon and Hyperbloom damage that the holder of this artifact set triggers.
If you want to go for Spread damage, Gilded Dreams would be your go-to choice. In order to boost your Spread damage, you must stack a certain amount of Elemental Mastery, as it is an Elemental Reaction, and you can quickly achieve it with Gilded Dreams.
Lastly, as a Dendro character, you can't go wrong with Deepwood Memories. With its Dendro Damage Bonus and Dendro Resistance Shred, this artifact is the most valuable to use for Dendro Characters in General.
Main Stats that you should go for:
Substats that you should focus on:
For players who are just starting to play Genshin Impact but don’t have the best artifact sets yet, we recommend :
The Instructor set is great for Kaveh as it provides Elementary Mastery, a significant starting artifact for Kaveh as it also shares the functionality of the higher rarity Artifacts.
Kaveh’s Build isn’t going to be complete if we don’t include his best weapons, so here are the 5-star weapon options that we recommend using for Kaveh:
Let’s move on to our Genshin Impact Kaveh guide by tackling his best weapons for free-to-play players and beginners .
For Kaveh to reach level 90 in Genshin Impact, you need to collect the following ascent materials:
Genshin Impact Kaveh is a character who dramatically excels in most Dendro teams, mainly Bloom and Spread. Kaveh’s Ascension Passive, which heals him whenever he takes friendly Bloom damage, enables him to be the on-field character for Bloom teams.
According to our Genshin Impact Kaveh guide, he does well on Bloom teams, which is why we created this team. Nilou and Kokomi are great at applying Hydro consistently, which synergizes well with Nahida because she, on the other hand, can also constantly apply Dendro, which, if combined, makes Dendro Cores. Nahida can also boost the team's Elemental Mastery, further increasing Dendro Core damage with her Elemental Burst, Illusory Heart. However, even though he didn't create the previously mentioned Dendro Cores, Kaveh can still boost the bloom damage with his Elemental Burst and trigger Dendro Cores with his Elemental Skill.
In order to have a Spread reaction, we must first combine Electro and Dendro, which can lead to a Quicken reaction. This Elemental Reaction buffs Electro and Dendro damage to the enemy in the Quicken State, which is why Fischl and Nahida re essential when building a Spread team on Kaveh. With Nahida's burst, all characters will have additional Elemental Mastery, which is beneficial for team comps that mainly rely on Elemental Reactions to deal damage like Spread. Fischl'selemental skill and passive talent also provide a generous amount of electrical damage, while Zhongli 's shield shreds all elemental resistance, including Dendro Resistance. This resistance shred can further increase if Nahida equips 4-piece Deepwood Memories.
Although the game hasn’t said anything officially about his age, we know Kaveh has graduated from Kshahrewar, an Academy focusing on Architecture. With this knowledge, we can estimate that Kaveh is around 26 and 29 years old, the average age a young lad can be after graduating. Additionally, Kaveh’s birthdate, according to the game, is July 9.
Kaveh is a well-known Sumeru architect who graduated with honors from Kshahrewar. Kaveh is an outspoken supporter of the arts and values aesthetics and creative maturity in almost everything, including architecture, interior design, mechanics, and even narrative.
In contrast to Alhaitham's logic, Kaveh operates first and primarily on what he believes to be correct.
And that's all there is to it. You've reached the end of our Genshin Impact Kaveh guide. Overall, Kaveh is only a B-tier on-field DPS because he needs a lot of good timing, rotation and other characters to buff him to reach his full potential as a Dendro Reaction DPS. To cut a long story short, Kaveh has a mid to high-skill ceiling. For other Dendro characters, check out our Baizhu guide, which can also be great when paired with Kaveh.
