The latest update to Supercell 's free-to-play mobile action game Brawl Stars has brought a number of new features to the game. In addition to new events, the Scandinavian developers have introduced two new Brawlers, including Edgar. In this article, we offer a guide to Edgar, so you can control this epic new assassin in Brawl Stars.
Edgar is not one of the 7 easy brawlers to unlock via your trophy progress. However, if you played during Christmas 2020, you had the opportunity to unlock Edgar for free. If you didn't, he's a legendary brawler. So you only have a 0.12% chance of getting him every time you open a Brawl box.
Edgar - Statistics
Edgar is presented as an assassin. His stats and abilities confirm him as an assassin, to say the least. While he may seem very 'gruff' when first used, getting to know him well can make Edgar one of the more subtle assassins in Brawl Stars.
Edgar's health level is low. From3,000 health points at first level, he only reaches 4,200 health points at level 10. While his ability to heal himself with every attack compensates for this low stat, Edgar is still a risky assassin to use.
Edgar is an extremely fast brawler. This makes his use all the more risky. Edgar is basically one of the fastest brawlers in the game. Add to this his Super to cross a part of the map in one go and Edgar justifies his status as a very fast brawler.
Edgar - Attacks and gadgets
Edgar's attack, called ' Brawler ', is extremely powerful. He hits his enemies at close range with two punches that deal 540 to 756 points of damage each. In addition to causing great pain, Edgar heals himself with each blow. With 135 to 189 health points per punch, Edgar can quickly take on many opponents while healing himself.
The range of Edgar's attack is very small. At 2.5 squares in distance, it forces Edgar to calculate his attacks carefully and must therefore be well combined with his Super.
Edgar's Super, ' Stacking ', allows him to jump over any obstacle and then get a speed boost. Edgar's Super allows him to jump up to 10 squares in distance. This Super reloads very quickly (only 6 punches). Better still, it recharges gradually over the course of the game and is fully recharged after 30 seconds (without hitting). The speed boost obtained on landing makes this Super interesting for both attack and defence.
Didn't have enough speed yet? Edgar's gadget is here and still justifies the title of fastest brawler in the game. This gadget, called " Induction Charger " allows Edgar to fill his Super 700% faster for 3 seconds. Usable 3 times per game, this gadget makes Edgar the subtle assassin of Brawl Stars that we featured.
Edgar - Usage and game mode
Like any good assassin in the game, Edgar has to make up for his lack of hit points and range. Fortunately, he has great speed of execution, which allows for advanced strategies. Many brawlers can finish off a cornered Edgar quickly. Despite this, his Super can easily get him out of any dangerous situation. Remember that it is as much a weapon of attack as of defence.
Like Jackie, Edgar can chain attacks together to give an opponent no chance. Jumping on an opponent with his three filled attacks allows Edgar to finish off almost any opponent. His boosted speed allows him to prevent them from escaping. It is important to make sure that you have your attacks full before jumping in to avoid any nasty surprises.
Finally, while Edgar's speed and punching power allow him to do well in just about every event in Brawl Stars, he is a formidable player in Brawlball. His jumping ability allows him to reach all areas of the map with ease and his speed boost gives him the ability to lead the ball without being caught. However, as you can see, using Edgar always requires you to take risks. With practice, in order to properly manage the risk rate and the fighter's movements, you will quickly understand why Edgar is considered one of the most interesting assassins in Brawl Stars 😉
We hope this guide to Edgar has met your expectations! Feel free to check out the general Brawler guide for tips on other Brawlers! You'll know Brawl Stars like the back of your hand. 👌
