Habby's Dicero, the game that follows Archero 1 and 2, is a roguelite with an original mechanic: the roll of the dice. 1. Understanding Dicero's gameplay

In this Dicero beginner's guide, we'll start by analysing the game's dice-rolling gameplay.

Dice-rolling mechanics

In Dicero, it' s the dice that determine your damage. As soon as a monster appears, the game makes a dice roll. You then have 3 possible re-rolls of the dice.

Your objective? Achieve one or more combos. This can be a pair (or more!) of dice of the same value. The more dice of the same value you have, the more damage you can do. Of course, a combo of 6 will be more interesting than a combo of 3.

With your 3 re-rolls, you'll need to choose which dice to re-roll to increase your chances of obtaining combos. As you progress, you'll be able to obtain more dice, for a total of 5.

Materials (dice modifiers)

Let's move on to materials in our Dicero beginner's guide. Materials will be offered to you as soon as you have acquired enough EXP. Materials are actually modifiers, which apply a special effect to your dice. They allow you to increase damage or generate additional attacks.

Skills

Skills are also unlocked through experience. They are passive or active effects that allow you, for example, to improve your damage, boost your HP or heal yourself. Later in this Dicero beginner's guide, we'll look at how to choose the right materials and skills.

2. Dicero beginner's guide: gear management

If you've already played Archero, then you'll feel right at home. In fact, this system is similar in Dicero.

Classic Dicero gear

You can equip your character with 6 different items of equipment:

• A weapon
• A scarf
• A necklace
• Boots
• Jewellery
• Armour

Each piece of Dicero equipment gives you extra stats. You'll need to upgrade them with dedicated resources, or forge several similar pieces of equipment, to obtain one of better quality.

In this Dicero beginner's guide, we advise you to upgrade your equipment as early as possible in the game, so that you can survive more easily. Don't wait to get legendary equipment!

Outfits

Outfits are pre-made pieces of equipment with specific skills and stats, tailored to a particular build. We won't go into too much detail in this Dicero beginner's guide. To unlock an outfits, you'll need to spend a lot of resources that aren't available at the start of the game.

3. Dicero's meta progression: talents
