Star Savior beginner's guide | The complete manual for getting started

Like hundreds of thousands of players, you've fallen for Star Savior on Android or iOS. Here's how to save time and optimise your resources in the first few hours of play. Here's what I wish I'd known before embarking on my adventure, in this Star Savior beginner's guide.

1. Understanding the basics of gameplay

Star Savior is a turn-based RPG. So it's important to understand how combat works and how to manage your characters. We'll explain it all in this Star Savior beginner's guide.

In Star Savior, combat is turn-based with your team of 4 characters. There's a synergy system based on your characters' elements.

Managing your characters

In this Star Savior beginner's guide, you'll discover the different ways you can improve your characters.

• Starlink: wait until you've unlocked this system before upgrading your characters! The Starlink tab lets you upgrade the 4 strongest characters in your roster, without wasting resources. What's more, Starlink lets you upgrade these 4 characters to the same level.
  
  
  
  
• Dupes: These allow you to improve your characters' passives and increase their level threshold. They are obtained via draws. I'd advise you to summon regularly, to be sure of getting dupes.
• Training mode (Journey): this is the game's roguelite mode. In this Star Savior beginner's guide, I suggest you choose one of your best characters. Then choose a stat to improve. That's how you'll boost your roster.

As a reminder, characters in Star Savior can be obtained by summoning them via the Obersavation menu. To do this, you'll need summoning tickets.

• Having a balanced team: each character has a specific role in Star Savior. There are tanks, DPS and support. So you need all three roles in your team. • Choosing the right leader: I'd advise you to opt for a DPS. He will receive a speed boost, allowing him to attack first.

• Journey, the best way to progress: as we mentioned earlier, this is the best way to improve your characters.

• Candle Square: This is the game mode that requires Willpower (stamina). I advise you to spend your Willpower every day in Candle Square to avoid wasting it.

As you progress, you'll unlock other game modes. I strongly advise you to take part in them. You'll pick up some vital resources!

Rerolling can be interesting in Star Savior. In fact, the game offers a guest account system, which you can only link once you've drawn some good characters.

Let's take a look at the daily routine you need to put in place to progress quickly:

1. Collect rewards from your in-game mailbox or via Star Savior codes.
2. Collect AFK rewards each time you log on.
3. Do the daily missions, always with the aim of getting new rewards.
4. Train your characters : as explained in this Star Savior beginner's guide, Journey mode trainings are essential for boosting your characters' stats.
5. Progress through the main story to unlock Operations, and vice versa
6. Spend your Willpower (stamina) in the Candle Square world
7. Summon new characters with tickets you've collected previously

5. 3 fatal mistakes to avoid when starting out

To finish off this Star Savior beginner's guide, we're going to look at the mistakes you should avoid when starting the game:

• Spending your resources on the wrong characters: don't waste your resources! Wait until you have the Starlink option to optimise your character management.

• Invest heavily in equipment : there's no point in doing this in the early game. Wait until the mid-game to really take an interest in your characters' equipment.
