Neverness to Everness is much more than just a gacha RPG! It's an open world rich in exploration and, above all, more or less complex gameplay mechanics. New to Hethereau? Here's how to optimise your first few hours so you don't miss a single resource and build an unbeatable team. This Neverness to Everness beginner's guide covers all the essential things you need to know to get your adventure off to a good start!
NTE beginner's guide: the first 30 minutes of play are important!
We start this Neverness to Everness beginner's guide with the tutorial and the first 30 minutes of play. It's a must! The tutorial lasts between 15 and 20 minutes and will introduce you to the mechanics of the game, but above all it will unlock the summons.
⚡ Bonus: for a truly optimal experience, don't hesitate to play NTE on PC!
Priority No. 1 for getting started: get your coffee going
The tutorial is over, and you've done your first summonings? You're now going to pick up a new character, Chiz. She'll unlock a new game system, Tycoon Levels, and a new in-game currency, fons.
Your priority in this NTE beginner's guide is to level up Tycoon Levels as soon as possible. The more fons you generate, the higher your Tycoon Level. To do this, you'll need to visit The Café by Origen. This is actually the café you'll be managing.
Here's what you need to do first:
Send your characters shopping, prioritise those with the right bonuses
Make all the recipes you can, which will increase your management level
Unlock new recipes as you go along
Manage your stock by knowing what ingredients you need
⚡ Mobi.gg tip: opt for short 4-hour replenishment sessions for the start of the adventure!
By implementing these tips from our Neverness to Everness beginner's guide, you'll be able to generate fons quickly and in large quantities. Don't neglect this step, which should be your priority in the early game.
Neverness to Everness beginner's guide: buying flats (housing)
So what are the fons for?
The fons in NTE allow you to obtain character draws
They allow you to buy vehicles and appearances for your characters
But above all, fons allow you to buy a flat
⚡ Good to know: not interested in housing? You should know that buying a flat is still very important in Neverness to Everness. It allows you to pick up anomaly decorations, which you can assign to your characters. These are critical, attack or exploration bonuses.
You can buy up to 5 different flats. But beware: they are very expensive. That's why it's essential to manage your café properly.
Mobi.gg's tip : go for Eden flats at the start of your adventure. An Eden flat will unlock the Dream Weaver's Node, which increases the character's pixel limit.
Understanding the two Stamina systems: Pixel and City Stamina
This NTE beginner's guide continues with a look at the different stamina levels.
Pixels
This is simply your endurance level for farming. It's actually the equivalent of Resin in Genshin Impact. Pixels are also used to navigate the game's various dungeons.
⚡ Tips for spending your Pixels wisely:
Participate 3x/week in the world boss fight: this will allow you to upgrade some of your characters and obtain S-rank weapons
The Houdiny dungeon: it provides character EXP, to be used on the character of your choice
City Stamina
This is the resource that will enable you to carry out your various activities in the city: driving a taxi, making deliveries, fishing or even playing mahjong.
Please note: City Stamina is capped at 350 and resets every Monday at 5am.
More generally, City Stamina allows you to pursue your Hobbies in Hethereau.
The most important hobby is robbery! You'll need to steal as much money as possible without being spotted. This will earn you as many fons as possible. Robbery is by far the most profitable activity in the game(up to a million fons a week).
⚡ Mobi.gg tip : at the start of the game, you'll run out of City Stamina. But it's possible to gain more by increasing your Tycoon Level ! As we said, you'll need to manage your café and complete the mini-games (Hobbies).
NTE beginner's guide: Hunter Level
Your Hunter Level is simply your account level. To increase it, you'll need to:
Progressing through the main quest and side quests
Complete the dungeons
Explore the world of Hethereau
Complete the daily missions
Each Hunter Level increment (10, 20, 30...) will increase your world level, i.e. the difficulty of the enemies. Enemies that are harder to defeat will give you more interesting rewards! You can also unlock your characters' levels, which scale with the world levels.
⚡ The Mobi.gg tip: in this Neverness to Everness beginner's guide, we advise you to do the anomaly commissions. They'll give you Hunter XP, currency for summoning, but also NTE arcs. This will boost your Hunter Level.
Combat Guide: Attributes and Chain Reactions
In this NTE beginner's guide, we continue with the combat system. Your characters (or Esper) have an Esper attribute. This is one of 6 elements available: cosmos, anima, lakshana, chaos, psyche and incantation.
Once a character's cycle gauge is full, the icon of another character in your team will start to pulse. By switching to that character at the right moment, you can unleash a devastating intro attack.
Team composition
There are several options for putting together your team of 4 characters:
1 Main DPS + 2 Supports + 1 Sustainer
2 DPS + 1 Support +1 Sustainer
2 DPS + 2 Supports (only for the most comfortable players)
Esper's combo
In this Neverness to Everness beginner's guide, we also advise you to choose your characters according to Esper's combo.
