After a teaser some time ago, the studio miHoYo has released the Zenless Zone Zero trailer at Summer Game Fest 2022. The next game from Genshin Impact creators looks very promising with its colourful universe and fast-paced action. Let's see what we know so far about this new game.
The first Zenless Zone Zero trailer was unveiled at the opening night of Summer Game Fest 2022. After the success of Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact, the HoYoverse will soon host two new games: Honkai: Star Rail, which was recently in beta, and our topic of the day: Zenless Zone Zero.
The story of ZZZ will put us in the shoes of a Proxy of New Eridu, the last refuge of humanity, and the adventure will make us travel between two parallel worlds. Civilisation is threatened by a mysterious natural disaster known as the Hollows. Fear has gripped the world since areas populated by mutant monsters called Ethereal have been appearing out of nowhere and growing larger and larger.
As can be seen in this Zenless Zone Zero trailer, fans of Genshin Impact will be delighted to find the same artistic direction transposed into a futuristic universe.
Indeed, if the charadesign is similar to that of miHoYo's flagship game, the environment is completely different. Where Genshin Impact plunges us into a magic and fantasy world with fairytale landscapes, Zenless Zone Zero takes place in an urban and post-apocalyptic environment where technology plays a central role.
In terms of gameplay, Zenless Zone Zero is based on Genshin Impact. It is a gacha RPG with real-time action and a multitude of characters with specific skills. In the Zenless Zone Zero trailer alone, you can count a dozen different heroes. The same is true for weapons, with guns, swords, spears, daggers, rocket launchers and circular saws.

We also know that the game will feature roguelike-inspired exploration. To access these labyrinthine and evolving dungeons, you will have to enter the areas created by the Hollow in which the Ethereals are located.
That's all we know at the moment from this Zenless Zone Zero trailer. The game will initially be available on mobile and PC before opening up to other platforms. We don't have a release date yet, but we'll let you know as soon as the first phases of test on our mobile games news page.
