After the phenomenal success of Subway Surfers, released in 2012, the SYBO studio failed to repeat the feat with its second game Blades of Rim in 2016. It is therefore a decade later that this new game of the licence will be released, as the Subway Surfers Tag release date has just been announced for July 15, 2022.

Unfortunately, Android gamers won't have the chance to meet the well-known characters of the license, such as Jake, Tricky and Fresh. Indeed, Subway Surfers Tag is an Apple Arcade exclusive.

A spin-off that radically changes the gameplay

While sliding is still the main focus of the gameplay, the studio has abandoned the runner genre to offer a new gameplay experience.
