After the announcement of the Logitech G Cloud announcement last week, it's Razer who has just published the teaser of its portable console under Android: the Razer Edge 5G. Let's find out together what we know about this cloud gaming console that could be a serious competitor for the Steam Deck, or the Nintendo Switch to some extent.
With two weeks to go until RazerCon 2022, its annual event, the Singaporean manufacturer known mainly for its peripherals, has just released the teaser of the Razer Edge 5G on its YouTube channel. In the 25-second teaser, we can partially see the design of Razer's handheld console, but never completely.
We do know that the Razer console will use the Android operating system, so you'll be able to enjoy all the titles in the Google Play Store catalog. Most of the cloud gaming services will also be accessible from this machine, such as Stadia, GeForce Now or the Xbox Game Pass.
If we lack too much information about the components on board the Razer Edge 5G to be able to compare it on the technical point, we can already see a point that sets it apart from its competitors. Unlike the Logitech G Cloud and the Steam Deck, which only works with Wi-Fi, the Razer Edge 5G, as its name suggests, will allow you to enjoy your games anywhere, provided you can get 5G of course.

So much for the Razer Edge 5G announcement. To find out more about its 5G handheld console, Razer will be at RazerCon 2022 on October 15. And to stay informed about the news of the mobile gaming industry, I invite you to visit regularly our page dedicated to mobile news.
