At the Future of Play Direct 2022, Polish studio Afterburn announced the Railbound release date. Put your logic to the test and do your best to get your cars in the right order in this peaceful puzzle game. Let's take a look at what's in store for this puzzle game with its soft and colourful art direction.
Hosted by IGN during Summer Game Fest 2022, the Future of Play Direct 2022 has revealed the Railbound release date. Developed by the studio Afterburn, known for the games Golf Peaks and Inbento, Railbound is a puzzle game in which you will have to solve puzzles in a railway context.
Your objective is to get the cars to their locomotive in the right order. To do this, you will have to create paths using rails and connect them in order to make your cars arrive in the right order without causing an accident. You'll also have to deal with hardware failures to get your trains back to normal. You'll have to rack your brains to get through the 100+ levels.
Where Railbound stands out is undoubtedly its art direction inspired by old-school cartoons. To create this visual atmosphere, the Afterburn studio joined forces with another Polish studio, Vile Monarch. This studio, founded by the co-creators of This War of Mine, notably released the irreverent and hilarious Oh...Sir! The Insult Simulator, available on Android and iOS.
The Railbound release date indicates that the game will be available in September 2022 on PC, mobile and consoles. You can already register to participate in the beta on the official website.

For the impatient, the Railbound demo has been available on Steam for some time, but it has just been enriched with 5 new levels to celebrate the Steam Next Fest. And if you want to discover other games of the genre while waiting Railbound release, head to our page dedicated to puzzle games.
