Almost 10 years after the release of the original game, Lucas Pope has just announced the Papers, Please release date on iOS and Android. Immerse yourself in the dystopian world of Arstozka communist state and take your place in the border post to control people coming from Kolechia.
Before revealing Papers, Please release date on mobile, let's go back to the concept of the game. Released in 2013, this gem of an indie game developed in solo by Lucas Pope, Papers, Please puts you in the shoes of an immigration inspector in the communist state of Arstozka.
It's up to you to detect spies, smugglers and terrorists among the many visitors who come to work honestly. To do this, scan their documents for authenticity, check their fingerprints and search their luggage for anything suspicious.
After the PC version success, the title got an iPad-exclusive variation the following year, and then on the PlayStation Vita in 2017. It is almost a decade after the initial release of the game that its creator has just made official the Papers, Please release date on Android and iOS on August 5, 2022.
This mobile port is based on the iPad version, but Lucas Pope said that the game will be adapted to small screens with a completely different interface. We know that the game will be paid, but the price has not been communicated. As a reminder, the PC version is available on Steam for 8.99 euros.
