In this recap #240, we take a look at the week's must-have mobile games releases, mobile news and pre-registrations/test phases not to be missed.

Sit back and relax as we bring you the week's mobile games news! On the programme: we've finally got the release date for The Division Resurgence, we're breeding scaly creatures in Hatch Dragons, we're surfing the news of a HoYoverse MOBA and we've got a whole heap of other news to share with you.

Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on stores:

  • Hatch Dragons is available on stores: hatch eggs to discover different species of dragons, take care of them and restore the magical forest inspired by Nordic folklore, on Play Store and App Store.
  • HeavenHells is out: a gacha RPG in which you battle creatures called Hellions with a squad of four WiTCHes whose build and synergies you must manage, on Play Store and App Store.
  • Cat Quest 2 (Play Store) and(Play Store) are available on Android: a mix between Zelda and a cat cafe, Cat Quest sends you exploring the worlds of Felingard and Purribean by completing quests, fighting enemies and exploring dungeons.
  • Becoming Saint is available on mobile: this real-time strategy roguelike plunges you into 14th-century Italy. Use your disciples, who can number up to 16, to dominate strategic battles, on Play Store and App Store.

We continue with the RPG Oceanhorn 3, available on Apple Arcade. Meanwhile, the point'n click Mystery of Silence is out on Play Store and App Store for $5. Nowhere Prophet, the tactical card game, has also arrived on Play Store and App Store.

We end this section with the free Epic Games Store game of the week, Little Nightmares.

Pre-registrations, announcements, updates and testing phases

Here's a selection of the pre-registrations and beta releases that made their mark this week on Android and iOS.

  • The Division Resurgence has been given a release date of 31 March: on the programme is a true MMO RPG shooter, an open world with a faithful post-apocalyptic recreation of the famous NYC, as well as an independent campaign.
  • Chill with You: Lo-Fi arrives in April: using Lo-Fi music or natural sounds, start a timer to alternate work and break phases, during which you can spend time with Satone the Lofi Girl, on Play Store and App Store.
  • Subnautica Below Zero arrives this week on Play Store and App Store: It's the same game, with more content out of the water, more varied vehicles and new creatures.
  • BanG Dream! Our Notes will be released worldwide next year: this rhythm game lets you test the lives of 25 characters with original songs, an individual story and PvP.

Then there's Moonlight Peaks, the vampire simulation game due for release in America on 7 July. Fairy Twins is in soft beta on Android. The Goritaire card game will be available on Play Store and App Store on 18 March.

Other news and events from the mobile games industry

The mobile JV industry has more news in store for you this week:

  • A MOBA in development at HoYoverse? A job advert from the Chinese studio is looking for a developer for a multiplayer game project, "a cool 3D MOBA" with PVP, PVE and co-op in competitive mode.
  • Fortnite is back on the Google Play Store: Epic Games and Google have finally buried the hatchet and Fortnite is back on the Google Play Store worldwide. Although we don't have an exact date for the return, it's a done deal, and you'll finally be able to download the Battle Royale directly from the Google store.
  • Infinite maintenance for Black Beacon and Snowbreak: both games will be in a state of continuous maintenance. You'll be able to access the servers and geek out as normal, but no new content will be produced.
