In this recap #235, we take a look at the week's must-have mobile games releases, mobile news and pre-registrations/test phases not to be missed.

Sit back and relax as we round up all the week's mobile games news! On the programme: we'll be translating coded messages with TR-49, discovering a new adaptation of The Witcher licence, Dave the Diver mobile shares his news and we've got a whole heap of other news to share with you.

Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • TR-49 is out on the App Store, with a narrative focused on the enigma machine of the Second World War. Enter this puzzle game with a strange electronic machine and a reality to save, for $7.
  • TavernTale is available on Play Store and App Store: this indie hero-collecting RPG features a roster of 30 characters that you can send into battle in battles where placement and planning do most of the work.
  • Countless Army Mobile is out now on Play Store and App Store. The tower attack concept lets you take control of waves of undead and monsters that you upgrade with each level.
  • Fishing Star World Tour is out via Crunchyroll on Play Store and App Store. With 40 different fishing spots to try out, a host of reels, rods and protected species to threaten, the game joins the ranks of hunting and fishing simulations.

Then there's Green Pond Town, a strange puzzle game available for $1 on Play Store and App Store. Dokimon Quest, the Pokémon like, is out on the App Store for $4.

And finally, Faily Brakes 2 is the free Epic Games Store game of the week.

Pre-registrations, announcements, updates and test phases

  • Reigns: The Witcher has been announced on Play Store and App Store, with the whole gang of Yennefer, Triss, Vesemir and, of course, Ablette. Swipe left or right to make strategic decisions for your kingdom.
  • Planet Party Time goes into beta on 28 February in China on mobile and PC. This game from NetEase features over a hundred mini-games in which up to 32 players compete in PvP, relying on your reflexes and cunning.
  • Infinity Kingdom: Elemental Era is being soft-launched in the US and Japan on Play Store and App Store. It features over 100 legendary heroes to summon, a real-time world map, city rebuilding, world alliances and elemental dragons to raise.
  • Dear me, I was... will be released on Play Store on 12 February. It's a slice-of-life story about a simple young woman, her sorrows in life, her joys and the bonds she forges with her friends in the course of an interactive novel.

Then there's Nature the Board Game, the adaptation of the board game that has just been announced on Play Store and App Store. Still on the announcements front, V Project, focusing on the lives of 3 fictional idols, will be arriving on Play Store and App Store and is now open for pre-registration.

Meanwhile, Nintama Rantaro: Jumping Puzzle Rank Up! will be released in Japan on Play Store and App Store. Easy Delivery Co, the port of the delivery simulation, has just been announced for Play Store and App Store. We continue with Dave the Diver mobile, out in China. And finally, Gambonanza, the game that revisits chess, has been announced for 2026.

Other news and events from the mobile games industry

The mobile JV industry has other news in store for you this week:

  • Dice of Kalma tops the 100K DL mark- give it a try! In-game, you battle against Kalma, the guardian of the afterlife. In your duel, you can rely on your luck or play it safe, but you'll need a great deal of strategy to triumph.
  • Terraria is benefiting from a new update. In this bigger and bolder update, players will be able to enjoy their favourite sandbox with Dead Cells weapons and equipment and the arrival of the Palworld Pals.
  • PUBG Mobile's Guinness World Record: with the friend fest event, the shooter sets the record for the highest number of duos in a choreographed full check.
