Sit back and relax as we round up all the week's mobile gaming news! On the agenda: the release of Miraibo GO, the announcement of Dredge on Android and iOS, and Overwatch mobile, which is said to be still in development.

Mobile game releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Children of Morta, Playdigious' port of the PC game, hit Play Store and App Store this week. This 2D pixel art hack'n slash plunges you into a dark universe where you take on the role of the Bergson family, legendary guardians. Explore procedurally generated dungeons, unlock new skills and upgrade your team of heroes in this immersive experience.
  • Miraibo GO is available on Play Store and App Store, a game inspired by Palworld. This multiplayer survival title lets you collect over 100 creatures, known as Mira, to use in combat or for tasks such as harvesting or crafting. In a vast, colourful world, you can form alliances and explore various environments while developing your base.
  • Disney Pixel RPG combines the Disney universe with pixel art RPG gameplay and gacha mechanics on Play Store and App Store. Explore worlds connected by a mysterious incident and reunite with iconic characters such as Donald and Stitch.
  • A Little to the Left is coming to iOS, offering a relaxing experience where the aim is to tidy up everyday objects. With a minimalist art direction and the addition of a disruptive cat, this game is a real Zen challenge. An Android version is expected by the end of the year.

Arcane Rush Battlegrounds mixes deckbuilding, auto-battler and battle royale in a game where 16 players compete to be the last survivor, free of charge, on Play Store and App Store.

The ultra-cute game Hidden in my Paradise is coming to Crunchyroll Game Vault on Play Store and App Store, with a soothing atmosphere. Players have to find animals and objects to collect to create the perfect photo. And finally, tower defence fans will be delighted with the release of Castle Duels on Play Store and App Store, a PvP game that lets you create a deck with a variety of units to defend and attack enemy castles.

Pre-registration, announcements, updates and testing phases

In addition to the recent releases, we have a number of other test and pre-registration announcements in stock this week:

  • Dredge is coming to mobile on 18 December. This horrific adventure game, already acclaimed on PC, plunges you into an eerie atmosphere where you have to fish out strange creatures while surviving nocturnal dangers.
  • King Arthur: Legends Rise is now open for pre-registration on Play Store and App Store. This RPG revisits the Arthurian legend with turn-based combat. Players will battle mythical creatures and save Camelot in this title from Kabam Games, which promises to be packed with PvE and PvP content.
  • Dordogne is coming to mobile on 2 December. This poetic narrative game plunges you into a hand-painted world where you relive childhood memories. With sublime art direction and a touch of nostalgia, this title invites you to explore intimate moments and fill an adventure diary.
  • Lightus, a cozy RPG in early access on Play Store, invites you to explore a colourful world and collect resources to build and customise your environment. In this title, you play as an amnesiac traveller and take part in boss battles with the help of your friends.

Still on the subject of announcements, the Deluxe Edition of GRID Legends, the racing game, is coming to mobile on 17 December, and the video game's most criminal turnip returns in Turnip Boy Robs a Bank on 14 January, with boss battles and weapons to unlock for $5 on Play Store and App Store.

We continue with A Space for the Unbound, scheduled for 2025. Set in Indonesia, two childhood sweethearts attempt to save the world from an impending apocalypse. Meanwhile, the remake of Eldgear is up for pre-registration on Play Store and App Store.

The Get Out Kids is leaving the Apple Arcade and arriving as a free-to-play game on the App Store on 29 October. Survival horror fans can rejoice: Resident Evil 2 is now available for pre-order on App Store. And finally, Square Enix unveils Emberstoria, a strategy game due for release in Japan on 29 November.

Other news and events from the mobile games industry

There's more news from the mobile JV industry this week:

  • Overwatch Mobile is reportedly still in development, according to recent revelations by journalist Jason Schreier. Although little information has been shared since 2022, the mobile adaptation appears to be progressing under the supervision of Walter Kong. Fans can look forward to an early release, despite the cancellation of several franchise-related projects.
  • Roblox continues to shine with collaborations such as the Coldplay event, while reaching over 6.5 billion registered accounts. However, this popularity also attracts controversial and sometimes offensive fashions, raising questions about content moderation in this ever-expanding metaverse.

See you next week for a round-up of mobile gaming news!
