Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Destiny: Rising is finally available on Play Store and App Store. Explore the post-Dark Age era, before the emergence of the Guardians and the Tower. Discover this universe in single-player or competitive co-op, in first or third person.
  • Acecraft is one of the best releases of the month! This vintage cartoon-style shoot'em coop puts you at the controls of a plane in the clouds. Take on the Nightmare Legion across more than 100 varied levels, on Play Store and App Store.
  • Hitman World of Assassination has just been released on the App Store. The HITMAN 1, 2 and 3 trilogy is back in action, with the same quality of infiltration.
  • Chant of Sennaar has just been released on Play Store and App Store. This point-and-click game, with its minimalist, colourful art direction, propels you into a revisited version of the Tower of Babel.

Explosive Brothers, the Broforce-style side-scroller, is out on the App Store. This title bombards you with power-ups and weapons, each more powerful than the last, to blow up whole hordes of enemies.

Then there's Phantom Breaker, a remaster of the beat'em up anime released via Crunchyroll on Play Store and App Store. Galaxy Backpack Survivor, a Vampire Survivors-style game, has just been released on Play Store and App Store in the US and Taiwan. Meanwhile, the runner Bearplane is available on Play Store and App Store.

Machinarium is the free game of the week on the Epic Game Store.

  • Honkai: Nexus Anima, the next title from Hoyoverse, will be launching a closed beta on PC and iOS. Registration is open until 12 September.

  • Sword of Justice, NetEase's MMORPG, goes into closed beta on 26 September. Pre-registration is already open on Play Store and App Store.
  • Chasing Kaleidorider is sending out invitations for its beta on 12 September. Equipped with the power of Kaleido Vision, you organise a group of female fighters in the futuristic city of Terminus, which looks like a 3D anime.

Meanwhile, RAVEN2, NetMarbel's MMOR, opens its global pre-registration on Play Store and App Store. MIRESI: Invisible Future, a gacha RPG, has just been announced by studio Control 9. Chaos Zero Nightmare will launch its closed beta on 18 September.

League of Elements, meanwhile, has just been announced and is being marketed as an RPG with various magical elements. And finally, Goddess Order has announced a release date of 24 September 2025.
