It was announced in 2022, then teased on 31 May 2024 at Playstation's State of Play. Today, we finally have a Infinity Nikki release date, and I couldn't be happier! Infinity Nikki will be the 5th opus in the licence and, for the first time ever, it will also be available on PC and console, in addition to Android and iOS. So let's end the suspense and reveal the release date for this cosy open-world game.
Infinity Nikki release date set for 5 December 2025
After unveiling a new trailer a few days ago, PaperGames and Infold have today announced the Infinity Nikki release date, which is set for 5 December 2024 . This is sure to please the 30 million pre-registered players who have been waiting since 2022 to discover Miraland, the game's open world.
Infinity Nikki will of course be available free-to-play on Android and iOS, like the previous 4 titles, but also on PC via the Epic Game Store and PS5.
This is a first for the licence, which is being exported to these platforms for the first time. So you'll be able to resume your progress on any support. As for the multiplayer aspect, you'll be able to visit other players' worlds, but we don't know much more about that at the moment.
So what can we expect when Infinity Nikki is released?
Infinity Nikki, an open world imagined by the game designer of the last Zelda games
In case you missed it, in Infinity Nikki you'll be exploring Miraland with your cute little creature called Momo. This 5th opus continues the concept of its predecessors, namely a dress-up and cosy game, but adds the open world aspect. In fact, the world of Miraland was imagined by Kentaro Tominaga, the game designer behind Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, so you can expect a well-constructed, immersive and exciting universe to explore!
Exploration is also at the heart of the gameplay. The trailer shows us that when Infinity Nikki is released, we'll be able to explore Miraland by flying, floating and accompanied by Pokémonesque creatures.
As well as visiting the various regions of Miraland to collect outfits, you'll be able to take part in other activities such as fishing (which we all know is the best activity in video games), platforming, puzzles and challenges. Of course, you'll also be able to take care of the little critters you meet along the way!
I don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to trying out this cosy game, and hoping for a pleasant surprise! In any case, see you on 5 December 2024, the day Infinity Nikki is released. And if you want to find out a bit more, you can visit the game's official website.
