Genshin Impact Update 2.5: When the Sakura bloom

Available from Wednesday, February 16, 2022, Genshin Impact 's Update 2.5 "When the Sakura Blossom" brings its share of content: the long awaited arrival of Yae Miko, the rerun of the Raiden Shogun and Kokomi, as well as story quests and even a surprising new world boss! A big event will also give you a different perspective on Enkanomiya. However, MiHoYo 's live show was mainly interested in the first part of the 2.5 update, still keeping some secret information...

The characters of the banners of the MAJ 2.5 of Genshin Impact

The 2.5 patch of Genshin Impact adds a new character that has been long awaited: Yae Miko, a 5-star Electro heroine. The priestess fights her enemies with a catalyst. Her gameplay relies mainly on her lightning totems. They generate damage over time and you can explode them to inflict maximum damage with her elemental skill.

You will have a small chance to summon Yae Miko in the "Everbloom Violet" banner from Wednesday 16 February until 8 March at 5pm. She will be accompanied by three 4-star heroes: Diona, Thomas and Fischl. The Electro Archers should also work well with Yae, especially for her energy contribution.

The " Epitome Invocation " weapon banner, meanwhile, offers to unlock Yae Miko's signature weapon " Kagura's Verity " as well as the " Primordial Jade Cutter ", a one-handed sword (5★).

In the second part of the update (from March 8 until the end of version 2.5), you will have to choose (or not) between two 5-star characters : Raiden Shogun Raiden or Kokomi. Raiden, the Electro Archon, is one of the best characters in the game; she boosts your team's elemental rampage, provides energy, and does a lot of damage. She can be found in many meta teams in the Abyss! But Kokomi, although less popular, is not to be outdone. The Hydro heroine allows you to apply the Hydro element in addition to healing your heroes. MiHoYo has not yet revealed the characters that will accompany them.

You can learn more about Raiden in a new story quest: ' Imperatrix Umbrosa - Act 2: Transient Dreams '. Yae Miko will also get her own story with ' Act 1: The Great Narukami Offering '.

A new world boss in Genshin Impact

Update 2.5 challenges you again with a new world boss. This one looks suspiciously like Raiden Shogun... But to find out what it really is, you'll have to fight it!

You'll also have to fight new enemies: Shadowy Husk: Standard Bearer, Shadowy Husk: Line Breaker and Shadowy Husk: Defender. These enigmatic warriors will be tough: they sacrifice part of their HP to create shields when they hit a hero under the protection of a shield.

As usual, several events will take place in this new patch 2.5.

Major event of UPDATE 2.5: Three Realms Gateway Offering

Three Realms Gateway Offering promises to be a big event that will run for the duration of patch 2.5 starting on February 17 at 10am. The event is focused on exploration: you return to Enkanomiya, then covered in darkness. You'll have to deal with Corrosion, search for chests and face powerful enemies. In addition to obtaining a good number of Primogems, Moras, XP scrolls and crafting materials, you will be rewarded with a free 4-star catalyst: Oathsworn Eye. This weapon increasesATK with its secondary stat and energy recharge with its passive.

In order to participate, you must have completed the Archons Chapter II - Act 2 quest and the world quest 'The Secret of Erebos'.

Dungeon Creation Event: Divine Ingenuity Event

From March 2nd from 10am to March 21st, you will have the opportunity to create your own domain, a bit like Mario Maker. You can then share it with your friends to try it out and of course venture into other players' domains.

A new zone announced in the 2.6 update of Genshin Impact : the Chasm

MiHoYo also took the opportunity to tease a brand new area that will appear in MAJ 2.6 of Genshin Impact: the Chasm. This area is located to the west of Liyue and its name has been taunting us for quite some time since it was already visible on the map!

According to the artworks, the area will be mostly underground and populated with new monsters such as Ruin Snakes. It should also be a junction with Sumeru, which we're looking forward to!
