It's finally time for the release of eFootball 2022 Mobile. After the release of the console and PC versions on April 14th, the mobile port of the PES successor has been delayed for a few more weeks. Let's have a look at our first impressions of Konami's new mobile football game, now available on iOS and Android.
The football game industry is in turmoil, as evidenced by Electronic Arts losing the FIFA licence and having to rename its game after 30 years of collaboration with the International Federation of Association Football.
This could be the opportunity for Konami, the publisher behind Pro Evolution Soccer, FIFA's historical rival, to make a statement with the official release of eFootball 2022 on mobile.
Like its competitor with FUT, one of the game modes the publisher is banking on is Dream Team mode, in which you have to put together your dream team by recruiting your favourite players in the form of a card.

However, you will have to wait until 2023 to be able to access the Masters League, the iconic mode of the licence. In terms of gameplay, compared to last year's version, the behaviour of players on the pitch has been completely overhauled, notably by taking into account the centre of gravity and inertia. The duration of the animations is also more realistic and the variations of passes, shots or dribbles are more numerous.
However, the variety of actions added for the release of eFootball 2022 Mobile inevitably leads to complex controls. Firstly, you control the direction of the selected player by using the left side of your screen as a joystick. The more pronounced your movement, the more your player will increase their stride.
Then, on the right side of the screen, you have access to four buttons: sprint, pass, deep pass and shot for attack, but which become sprint, change of player, pressing and tackling in defence.
Apart from sprinting, the other three buttons can be activated in 4 directions, each of which applies a specific effect to your action: lobbed pass, curled shot, double contact and many other technical gestures to discover.

In defence, you can also double tap the left side of the screen to protect the ball when in possession or to duel an opposing striker shoulder to shoulder.
However, if these controls are relatively complicated to master, the handling is relatively accessible if you limit yourself to some simple gestures.
So much for our first impressions of the release of eFootball 2022 Mobile. If you want to test it, the game is already available on Android and iOS. Don't hesitate to check our tips page regularly, as we will probably be adding content related to eFootball 2022 Mobile in the near future.
