- A deliciously macabre atmosphere
- Solving the riddles is a real challenge
- A fascinating family story
Netflix is adding more and more video games to its list of premium phone exclusives. From Hades and Mighty Quest to Ninja Turtles, Death's Door and Dead Cells, let's take a look at some of the best games in the US SVOD service's catalogue to add to your collection on Android and iOS. Here you'll find all the best Netflix games included in your subscription, with no ads and no in-app purchases, so you might as well make the most of it!
Do you have a Netflix subscription? If so, as well as series, films and documentaries, you have access to a whole catalogue of mobile games, most of which are available on Android and iOS! And the least we can say is that Netflix Games knows how to choose its titles! From major licences to small indie nuggets, there's something for everyone. We've selected the top 16 must-try Netflix games for you.
At the top, it's the excellent Case of the Golden Idol. You can set off on an adventure as a detective in an investigation that seems to link no fewer than 12 murders.
In this story set in the 18th century, you investigate a bewitching treasure. You must pay attention to every detail to solve the enigmas. Study the crime scenes, unmask the culprits and fill in the blanks in this high-quality puzzle game.
With "extremely positive" reviews on Steam and an original investigation system reminiscent of the board game Chronicles of Crime, The Case of the Golden Idol is, in our opinion, the best of the Netflix games, a little nugget just waiting for your brain to be tortured. The Netflix Games version has additional prequels to extend the experience.
Become a virtual drug baron
A mobile RTS without a predatory business model
An interactive extension of the Medellin cartel
The collaboration between Netflix and studio Tilting Point to offer subscribers a premium version of this mobile game set in the world of Narcos is a winning bet. As a very clean company based on import-export, you're not hurting anyone. Well, except that you're leading a cartel on a quest for domination through blood and money in one of Netflix Games' best games.
In Narcos Cartel Wars Unlimited, take control of your own cartel, keep the corrupt authorities in your AAA pocket and don't hesitate to take out the deadbeats. Manage your profits, expand your base, recruit sicarios, join forces with other players and make your cartel reign in this game that uses all the classic codes of mobile strategy games in the style of Rise of Kingdoms.
As with Clash of Clans, this management game also lets you create your own defensive city plan to protect your wealth and take your revenge on your aggressors. You can now enjoy Narcos Cartel Wars without the PayToWin dimension while watching Narcos, making it one of the best Netflix video games around.
All DLC included
An iconic metroidvania
Extremely comprehensive and procedural Roguelite
Third place goes to Dead Cells, one of the best multiplatform games of the last ten years. For starters, it's a French game. What's more, it's one of the most complete roguelikes available on mobile. The famous metroidvania is now available as a Netflix subscription with all its bonus DLC. By the way, Dead Cells is one of our top 1 best games without a connection.
If you haven't yet tried out one of the best Netflix games, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go on the touchscreen or with the controller, without paying a single euro more than your usual subscription. Dead Cells promises an immersive world, superb animation and a tough challenge.
As the levels are procedural and you adjust your stuff as you go along, you'll always find a good reason to go for a classic run or one coupled with themed DLC like Castlevania. This autumn, plunge into the underworld with new weapons, new enemies and the possibility of having a pet to accompany you on your journey into the heart of darkness. And if you like roguelikes with a challenge, you can also try out Hades, one of the Netflix games on iOS only.
Iconic tower defence
Co-op for up to 4 players

This new edition shares the excellence of Bloons TD with its core features. In this top 4 of the best Netflix games, choose your heroes and towers carefully to defend your path and complete the various levels. Develop your arsenal with the tree of knowledge and learn to master the subtleties of your firepower.
You can play solo online or offline, or in co-op with up to 4 players in public or private games. And to get the most out of Ninja kiwi, you don't have to worry about ads or in-app purchases, as this version only requires a standard Netflix subscription. Go and discover the original and improved content of Bloons TD 6 Netflix or the completely crazy challenges devised by players by testing out creations from the community on Android and iOS.
5th on the list of the best games from Netflix Games is Paper Trail and its paper environments. This title plays the origami card to the hilt. In terms of gameplay, it's a puzzle game that invites you to fold, unfold and refold paper to change the world and solve puzzles in colourful settings.
You play Paige as she leaves home on a journey of initiation. She'll grow with each new region, and you'll learn how to turn the world upside down and use it from every angle. Uncover her secrets and enjoy this dream holiday in the pages of Paper Trail, decorated using traditional printmaking techniques and watercolours. Don't miss this free experience on your phone for a few hours of puzzling and poetry.
A soothing game on the theme of the afterlife
Multiple gameplay phases: sandbox, platforming, fishing, etc.
Engaging characters and an enchanting world
Play as Stella, who is in charge of taking souls to the afterlife. Interact with unique characters, discover their stories and look after your ship of souls. Customise your ship to sail through enchanting hand-drawn settings in style.
In our top 6 best Netflix mobile games, the adventure is full of emotion but also action, with resource gathering for life on board, crafting and even platforming. Dreams, memories and grief combine to bring tears to the eyes of many players in this title from Thunder Lotus and Playdigious. Go ahead and try Spiritfarer via your Netflix subscription, with no ads and no in-app purchases on Android and iOS, and hope you don't crash.
An original strategic vision
Inspired by both chess and the natural elements of battlefields
High-quality pixel art
We continue our list of the best Netflix games with Into the Breach in seventh place. This nugget has left its mark on indie video games across all platforms, to the point where it has become a must-have. Set in a futuristic setting, your aim is to save humanity from the alien threat. The result is a highly accomplished turn-based strategic gameplay. On the pixel-art terrain, take control of various mechas and eliminate the alien threat while protecting human buildings.
Into The Breach's game mechanics are particularly comprehensive, and its approach sets it apart from other titles. Each turn, you can see what moves your enemy units are going to make, and you have to think of as many combos as possible to prevent them from doing any harm.
You can even use the environment, such as water or mountains , to your advantage in your confrontations. And, if the alien hordes overwhelm you, all you have to do is go back in time to save humanity in another version of time.
Into The Breach will give you a new perspective on strategy, in a futuristic and oppressive atmosphere.
Excellent lifespan for a narrative game
Convenient swipe control
A new combat system for Reigns games
The list of the best Netflix Android and iOS games also includes some of the great classics of mobile gaming, such as Reigns, one of my favourite narrative games. With simple, intuitive gameplay, you have to swipe left or right to make important decisions. This new opus, Reigns: Three Kingdoms, takes you on an epic journey inspired by the history of the most famous Chinese dynasties.
In-game, it's all about decisions. So you'll need to anticipate all the consequences of your choices to keep your kingdom running smoothly. As a bonus, Three Kingdoms features a combat system unlike any other title in the licence, and you can even play against other players competitively and take advantage of side quests.
In short, Reigns on Netflix offers innovative gameplay, ideal handling on mobile, and an original, highly complex story, making up a video game cocktail to be consumed without moderation.
A tryhard dive into Japanese dungeons and folklore
Spellbinding Roguelite with unique runs
Endless mode for those who like a challenge
Explore the spellbinding world of Lucky Luna with your Netflix video game subscription. This platformer doesn't leave you jumping, but instead takes you deeper and deeper into its levels and collects loot to fill your treasure room. If you like competition, you can try hard to complete the dungeons as quickly as possible and improve your ranking. It's clearly one of the best Netflix Games to try out.
But if you're more the relaxing type, you can enjoy the immersive musical atmosphere and all the dungeon and temple secrets to be discovered in Lucky Luna. Blending pixel art and Japanese folklore, our top 8 best games from Netflix Games title has received rave reviews from the community since its launch and, as well as its story mode, it offers an endless mode with a roguelite dimension that promises some very varied runs.
Immersive paranormal atmosphere
2nd instalment in the narrative horror series
Full investigative game translated into several languages
In the creepy genre, crackling radios and paranormal stories also have their effect on your nerves. For Halloween and our 10th ranking of the best Netflix games, I invite you to try Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, or its first opus, both available as part of the Netflix subscription.
The excellent sequel to the mobile narrative horror series sends you to the town of Camena, where very strange radio signals can be heard. Signals to communicate with the dead. As you unravel the veil surrounding this mystery, you enter a title with an atmosphere reminiscent of horror films from the last century, a great soundtrack and a level of writing that's always up to scratch.
The story of Oxenfree II may bring a tear to your eye, but the atmosphere is there to make you shudder. It's a nugget to listen to on headphones to immerse yourself in the story, translated into French, and a benchmark for independent games across all media. And if you want even more scary games, check out our top mobile horror games!
The eleventh game in this top list of the best Netflix games on Android and iOS is the puzzle game Arranger, which will put your brain to the test! You take on the role of Jemma, a young girl on a journey of initiation who has to make her way through a number of different environments. The game stands out for its pretty, colourful AD, but its greatest quality is its simple yet effective central mechanics.
Jemma moves around a grid where each row and column behaves like a conveyor belt. Some elements of the scenery move with her, but others remain fixed. So you'll need to understand the different interactions between the grid and your environment to solve puzzles, complete quests, explore a level or beat bosses. It's clever and very satisfying, so don't hesitate to take a look!
A beat'em up from the 80s
Retro action game in side view
Arcade combat sensations
In this top list of the best Netflix games, we inevitably find Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. This colourful 80s-inspired beat'em up lets you play as your favourite Ninja Turtles or their friends to foil Krang and Shredder's evil plan.
Each hero has different range, speed and power characteristics, so make sure you choose the right one for your preferred style of play. Step out of your sewers and you'll be able to perform tons of well-animated combos that make combat very fluid.
For the more nostalgic, an arcade mode is available, with limited lives and the inability to save your progress. In good old punishing roguelike mode. I'd still advise you to play it with a controller for the best gaming experience.
Thrilling runner
Easy to handle on the phone
Crazy zombie shooting
With over 70 million downloads for its first instalment, the Into the Dead game series has easily found its place among the best Netflix video games. During the zombie apocalypse, you've strayed too far from your family. To find them, you'll have to battle hordes of zombies in endless levels. As well as the story, the game is divided into runner-style levels with weapons and ammunition to be collected by dodging the zombies with your side dodge.
Unlock new weapons and take out the bastards. If you survive the fields and forests of hungry zombies, you'll be able to discover one of the game's multiple endings after around sixty levels and a good dose of explosives. You can even do it accompanied by a dog, à la The Last of Us, and try out Into the Dead 2 in offline mode!
Doodle Jump back in force... with fruit
Great combo possibilities
Easy to use on your phone
Next on the list, in 14th place among the best Netflix Games, is Poinpy: an arcade game that's sure to remind you of Doodle Jump. Your aim is simple: you have to climb as high as you can, crushing as much fruit as you can to make juice.
Beneath its cute exterior, this Netflix title is a challenge in itself. It puts your reflexes to the test by multiplying platforms and enemies, and pushes you to find an optimised strategy to collect the right fruit combinations without touching the ground again. Unlock bonuses and perform a series of combos while avoiding all the obstacles in this flashy-coloured game with dynamic gameplay that will delight fans of vertical platformers.
The sensations are really excellent, and it's great to see a game with such a high level of finish that you can take everywhere with you.
We continue with number 15 on our list of the best Netflix mobile games. Open your eyes and don't blink. You could be missing out on a great slice of your life. In Before Your Eyes, you play Benjamin Brynn. You'll have to use the front camera on your smartphone or tablet to track the times you close your eyes. Watch out for dry eyes if you tryhard, so keep some saline solution to hand!
This little nugget features an interesting gameplay mechanic in which if you blink, the scene you're taking part in ends. At the heart of Benjamin's memories, you'll have to make the right choices to guide him to the end. Touching and immersive, this title is a gem that I can only recommend if you like original games. Expect a journey into family life, childhood, mourning and the passage to the afterlife. It's an adventure you won't soon forget.
A roguelite with powerful path choices
Great replayability and varied builds
(I've heard it's too hard... for noobs! Personally, I finished many runs and it was great)
Mighty Quest Rogue Palace is number 16 in our Netflix Games chart. A new opus from the Ubisoft licence has made its Netflix video game debut on Android and iOS. In Mighty Quest Rogue Palace, the focus is no longer on defence but on attack. The game's roguelike formula works extremely well.
Each run invites you to choose a path on the map of the region you're exploring to unlock a particular new piece of equipment, improve your stuff at the forge, buy build elements or sacrifice blood for upgrades before passing through a boss chokepoint.
The levels offer a good challenge without being impossible to complete, and the wide variety of heroes available gives Mighty Quest a high degree of replayability. Unlike the flavourless Archero clones, this roguelite, available entirely in French, appropriates the genre's usual formula with a style all its own , and deserves a place in this top list of the best games from Netflix Games.
Netflix has invested heavily in its mobile games catalogue, which is regularly being expanded with new titles. We could have mentioned the famous Hades, an iOS-only Netflix game, but also Katana Zero or The Dragon Prince: Xadia.
Whether you're looking for indie games or big licences, you're sure to find what you're looking for among the Netflix games, now or in the future, as other titles have been announced, including the Monument Valley series. And if you haven't found your next game, don't hesitate to check out our ranking of the best mobile games.
