The release of Pokémon TCG Pocket caused quite a stir among fans of the licence and compulsive collectors. And just a few hours after its release, theories about how to obtain rare cards had already invaded the web. One such theory concerning Pokémon TCG Pocket bent packs. Many players have claimed that these boosters, with their horned corners, are more likely to offer rare cards. Fact or fiction? We'll find out.
The idea behind PTCGP is to open two boosters each day to grow your card collection. You can choose between several boosters: Pikachu, Charizard and Mewtwo. Once you've chosen your pack, a carousel of 12 boosters will appear on your screen. Each booster can then be viewed from any angle.
And on some (rather rare) boosters, when viewed from the side, you can see more or less folded corners. And according to some players, Pokémon TCG Pocket bent packs are more likely to contain rare cards.

Rare cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket bent packs: real news?
If you've just opened your 10th Sablaireau, this theory about bent booster packs in Pokémon TCG Pocket is certainly of interest to you! Unfortunately, it seems to be wrong. For one thing, the Pokémon Company, which publishes the game, has clearly detailed the drop rate of each card. Creating special boosters with a higher chance of obtaining rare cards would be illegal.
On the other hand, it has been demonstrated by a Reddit user that the cards contained in a booster were predetermined. This player was able to access a Pokemon TCG Pocket friend's wonder pick, even though he hadn't yet chosen the Pikachu booster from the 12 in the carousel.
All this is just a rumour, and to find out if Pokémon TCG Pocket bent packs slightly increase the chances of getting rare cards, why not give it a try? And if you need any more guides, don't hesitate to check out our tips and tricks on Pokémon TCG Pocket!
