Endless Judgment Vergil is undoubtedly the best devil hunter in the game and is expected to remain at the top of meta for quite some time. Best believe he's more than just a DPS character with some flashy animations. Being a damage-type character in the game, Endless Judgment Vergil has the power to deal AOE attacks from a distance, and each strike he does has an attack massive multiplier. His kit also brings multiple physical damage and crit rate buff, resulting in him becoming an actual nightmare to these demons. On top of it, Endless Judgment Vigil is a very mobile hunter. That said, his opponents, both in PVE and PVP will be having a hard time landing their attacks on him.
A-tier Devil Hunters in DMC: Peak of Combat
A-tier Devil Hunters also excel in the role and bring plenty of damage and utility to the team. While there are better characters in the game, investing in them certainly won't be a waste and will be able to carry you to harder stages of the game.

From the A-tier, Frosty Grace Lady. Frosty Grace Lady is another hunter in the game with impressive mobility, and the ability to inflict AOE ice damage rapidly and apply debuffs. This form of Lady also has a special Chill gauge which can cause the enemy to be under the Chilled state when it's filled.
B-tier characters of DMC: PoC
B-tier hunters are average characters, who can also be powerful but require more skill or resource to become effective. Hunters in this tier can be great at the early stages but is easily replaced by characters from the S and A tier of our Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat tier list.

Physical
In DMC: Peak of Combat, there are only two damage-focused hunters, and one of them is the Knight of Order Nero. He is a blade-wielding devil hunter whose attacks deal devastating and explosive fire damage. What makes his kit even more lethal is his Burn gauge which causes the enemies to lose their HP over time upon filling up this bar. While he may be inferior to other characters and his fellow damage-focused hunter, Endless Judgment Vergil, his kit still remains useful especially when paired with other hunters of the same element.
C-tier characters of the Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat Tier List
At the tail end of the tier list resides the C-tier, which are hunters who may only be effective against weaker enemies or stages but are less impactful at higher levels. Having that said, spending resources and deploying them in your lineup might not be a great idea in the long run.

Swift Arsenal Lady

Physical
Currently, Swift Arsenal Lady, the Physical support, finds herself as the weakest member of the roster. For the most part, everything she can do, other hunters can do it as well, but better. However, she isn't entirely devoid of value, as she provides necessary damage buffs to certain elements at a higher rank and is useful in boss hunt and co-op mode due to her ability to generate green orbs, which heal everyone in her lineup or team.
And there you have it! This Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat tier list provides reliable insights on which characters to pull for and use resources to prevent yourself from wasting necessary materials. Hopefully, this guide will aid you in planning your DMC: PoC.
But, don't let this tier list stop you from building a character that sits at the bottom of the list. After all, the game is all about fighting off demons, executing combos, testing your limit, and of course, enjoying the game.
