If you thought January was a tidal wave of game cancellations, it's nothing compared to the catastrophic start of February. After the announcement of the closure of Autochess MOBA, we learn that it is already the end of Apex Legends Mobile. Via a tweet and a post on the official blog of the game, EA reveals the end of life stages of its mobile shooter.
Before its closing date was announced, Apex Legends Mobile received numerous awards. Voted best mobile game by numerous ceremonies, including the Mobi Awards 2022, the title had convinced gamers around the world with a successful and refreshing adaptation. However, today we learn that the game will soon be unavailable.

It is an understatement to say that the mobile community was shocked to learn of the end of Apex Legends Mobile not getting up this morning. Without saying too much, the official tweet states that this decision stems from an internal content production issue.
The equivalent of breaking up over text, wow.

I just feel saddened for all the creators who invested so much time and money, all to find out like this.. oof
According to this announcement, neither the pace nor the quality of the content could be maintained over time with the current pipeline. This is very similar to the arguments that Supercell regularly uses to kill its games one after the other.
By the way, we still appreciate this response from Ark. He thinks that this is really like a text message breakup. I couldn't have said it better myself.

On the blog post that discusses the closing date of Apex Legends Mobile and the stages of its end of life, EA reveals that this production problem is related to a partner studio in charge of development.
We can't change anything about the publisher's radical decision to stop the development ofApex Mobile. On the other hand, I advise you to keep these dates in mind if you still want to enjoy the game while it is online:
Gamers are extremely disappointed to hear about the shutdown of Apex Legends Mobile and were expecting at least a refund for their recent purchases. In fact, EA had just released a special Lunar New Year pack that many players decided to buy to embellish their account.
With this "sunset" of the game, the owners of the very recent pack will not really have the opportunity to enjoy it and feel like they have been ripped off. The announcement of the end of Apex Legends Mobile will certainly lead to a rapid decrease in the number of active players... And what is the use of a skin if there is no one to admire it?

However, EA is sticking to its guns. The publisher relies on its sales policy to explain to players that, even if the game closes and this pack is extremely recent, no one will be entitled to a refund. This is a blow to the heart and wallet of those players who already see their shooting game disappear forever.
In any case, unlike the closure of Autochess MOBA, the end of life of Apex Mobile is definite. The game will be inaccessible. On the other hand, EA does not close the door to future adaptations. However, it will be a while before you have the opportunity to play your favorite legends on mobile. In addition to Apex, Battlefield Mobile is also cancelled, even before its full release. It's the hecatomb of the beginning of 2023.
