Have you been waiting for it? It'll be hitting stores in less than 24 hours, and I'm talking about Pokémon TCG Pocket of course! The new mobile game in the Pokémon franchise lets you collect some really stylish cards on Android or iOS, as well as taking on other players (only if you feel like it!). Here's an update on the release of Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Pokémon TCG Pocket release: open two free boosts a day!
If you haven't been keeping up, here's a summary of what you can expect when Pokémon TCG Pocket is released on 30 October 2024. The game, developed by Creatures and DeNA, simply lets you collect Pokémon cards by opening two free daily boosters (one booster will be available every 12 hours).
Of course, you'll also be able to heat up your credit card to get extra boosters more quickly via an in-game currency that can be bought or earned by completing missions.
The programme includes familiar cards from the various physical editions, as well as cards exclusive to the game with very cool visual effects, in 3D like Marvel Snap for example, or even animated. For the release of Pokémon TCG Pocket, we'll have the opportunity to discover the Genetic Apex set, which includes 226 cards representing first-generation Pokémon.
It's a safe bet that updates featuring other sets will arrive very soon after the game's release. In fact, rumours claim that the next sets of cards will be released on 16 December 2024 and 29 January 2025 (not to be taken too seriously, though).
Simplified TCG rules for the release of Pokémon TCG Pocket
When Pokémon TCG Pocket is released, you'll also be able to test your skills and Pokémon against other players via the matchmaking system. It will also be possible to battle against AI. What's more, to make the game even more accessible, the TCG rules have been simplified, which is sure to tempt novices into the adventure.
Whether you're a fan of the licence and the TCG, just curious or a collector at heart, you're sure to find something to enjoy when Pokémon TCG Pocket is released! And if you're looking for other Pokémon games, you can always try Pokémon Unite or Pokémon GO!
