A few days ago we told you about the closed beta for Heartopia, the ultra-cosy life sim from XD Games that I'm really looking forward to (I can't resist a cute Animal Crossing-style game)! We're on the eve of its closing, and we already know the release date of Heartopia. If you can't wait to get your hands on it, I've got good news: we've only got a few days to wait!
Heartopia scheduled for release on 7 January 2026
I told you, the cosy life sim is coming very soon, as the release date of Heartopia has been set foron 7 January 2026. Perfect for recovering from the festive season and the indigestion that goes with it!
Sorry, though, for gamers who were planning to embark on the adventure on PC: the release date of Heartopia on Steam has not yet been revealed.
If you took part in the beta, which is still underway, then you were able to discover an absolutely adorable world that looks a lot like Animal Crossing. Of course, you'll be able to build and decorate your house, but you'll also be able to garden, fish (as in any quality game) and cook.
Like Hoyoverse's Petit Planet, which will be arriving very soon, XD Games' cosy life sim will bea gacha game. We still don't know whether the economic system will favour F2P players, for the release date of Heartopia.
Opinions on Heartopia's closed beta
I spoke earlier about Heartopia's economic system. The opinions of the beta testers are unanimous: for the moment, microtransactions mainly concern cosmetics, and the IRL production time for crafted items doesn't seem to be a major hindrance to enjoying the game. But we'll have to wait for Heartopia's release date to be sure on all these points.
Heartopia's world, its many features, its interesting story and its huge, rich world are the strongest points mentioned by the beta testers. If you ask me what I think, I'd have to say that it looks like it's going to be a great release. Personally, I can't wait to try it out!
