Mobile games news recap 227 from Mobi.gg

In this recap #227, we take a look at the week's must-have mobile games releases, mobile news and pre-registrations/test phases not to be missed.

Sit back and relax as we round up all the week's mobile games news! On the programme: news of Krafton's Project BlackBudget extraction shooter, a new GTA-like game makes its debut, Universe for Sale lets you create worlds, and a whole host of other news.

Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been full of release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Netflix PUZZLED is available on Play Store and App Store. It's a library that condenses the little logic puzzle games we know every day, such as crosswords and Sudoku.
  • Bleach SOUL Resonance is out now on Play Store and App Store. Step into the world of the anime with sword fighting, the company of your Zanpakuto weapons and their spirits, as well as cult characters.
  • My Child New Beginnings is available on Play Store and App Store. You'll be transported by a story of childhood trauma and realise that you didn't have the worst childhood after all.
  • Dandy Ace is available on Play Store and App Store for $9. You play as a gentleman who wants to teach bosses a lesson by stringing together combos like in the days of Mighty Quest.

We continue with Durango Lost Island, available via MapleStory Worlds on Play Store and App Store, as well as on the browser. Union of Gnomes, the roguelite deckbuilder, is also available on Play Store and App Store. Slender Threads, the old-school point-and-click game, has also been released on Play Store and App Store.

Duck Detective Ghost Glamping is also available on Play Store and App Store for $7.

And finally, the Epic Games free game of the week is Universe for Sale, a point-and-click game that I'd highly recommend, both for its aesthetics and for the story it tells!

Pre-registrations, announcements, updates and testing phases

Here's a selection of the pre-registrations and beta releases that made their mark this week on Android and iOS.

  • NinjaKiwi's Fightland enters pre-registration on Play Store. In this brawler, players compete in teams of 4 to defend positions, conquer objectives and win.
  • Girls' Frontline Control launches in Asia. With a small VPN in hand, take advantage of the open beta release via Play Store and App Store on the other continent to take part in tactical PvP missions.

Then there's Codename Crime-Vice Open World from Tencent, launching on Play Store in early access in Indonesia, Canada and the US. Tencent is preparing Project Spirit : no trailer, no specific info, this is a cross-platform project by the creators of NIKKE and published by Tencent.

Fruit Ninja Adventures is in Android soft launch in Canada on Play Store. Dino Cataclysm: Survival is in soft launch in the US and Puerto Rico on Play Store, while Moonton's Yacht & Catch: Fishing Game is available via a VPN pointed at the Philippines or the USA, on Play Store and App Store.
