Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Sonic Rumble has finally been released on Play Store and App Store. The 32-player battle royale with a mad dash for the rings planned for the Apple Arcade got its laces caught up several times in its release date.
  • Pools is out now on the App Store. Describing itself as a virtual museum inspired by liminal spaces, this title sends you wandering through long tiled corridors, lifeless pools and spaces full of... emptiness.
  • Hero Seekers, a retro RPG, has been released for $10 on Play Store and App Store. You play as Lunette, the only person who still remembers three missing heroes, in a game featuring turn-based combat.
  • Dead Ahead Enforcers begins its soft launch on Play Store in Poland, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. The game propels you into its zombie apocalypse world with tactical turn-based combat.

We continue with Aniimo, which is also being released as a soft launch under the name "Star Continent" on Play Store in Thailand. MapleStory Idle RPG is out on Play Store and App Store. OverField, a cozy 3D action RPG, is available on Play Store and App Store. The Nintendo Store is now available on Play Store and App Store, for the latest news on Nintendo games.

Then there's Hell's Paradise Battle, the mobile game adaptation of the anime, out in Japan on Play Store and App Store.

Pre-registrations, announcements, updates and test phases

  • Green Light takes you inside a Yanagi Nagi album in 2026, a game by Hako Life that showcases Yanagi Nagi's upcoming album and his talent for music.
  • Besiege prepares its launch with a new trailer. The assault construction game with sandbox vehicles is well supported by Playdigious and is still out on 18 November on Play Store and App Store.
  • Pirate Outlaws II: Heritage will be released on 4 December on Play Store, App Store and PC. This roguelike deckbuilder features 250 cards to test, 3 playable heroes, companions and naughty pirates!

Druid Rising, the cute idle RPG, opens pre-registration on Play Store, while Chicken Chicken, the 16-player party game, is announced.

Other news and events from the mobile games industry

The mobile JV industry has more news in store for you this week:

  • Mo.co won't be the next victim of the Supercell production cut-off. In fact, even though Squad Busters is closing its doors and the monster-hunting game isn't generating much revenue, the Finnish company has decided to keep it alive.
  • Pokémon TCG Pocket made $245 million more than Pokémon GO in one year, for a total of $1.3 billion.
  • Square Enix is following in the footsteps of giants such as Electronic Arts and Krafton in recent days by announcing that it is openly integrating AI into its production. The company is aiming to release other mobile games based on Dragon Quest or Dissidial Final Fantasy... but the condition for this is that 70% of the quality checking must be AI.

See you next week for a recap of mobile games news!
