Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Ultimate Chicken Horse has just been released on Play Store and App Store. In-game, you compete against other players on a tricky course - and a very tricky one at that, since it's the players who set the traps in each round. The game is available for $10 on store shelves.
  • Foretales, the map-based narrative-strategy RPG, is now available on the App Store and Play Store. Play as Volepain, a thief who has had a vision of the apocalypse, and your choices determine how the story will unfold. Featuring deck-building, diplomacy and stealth, the game is available for just under $5 on the stores.
  • Mini Airways is out on the App Store this week for $5. Published by Erabit StudApp Store, this airport simulation puts you in the shoes of an air traffic controller who has to manage the take-off, landing and routes of planes from all over the world. Test your skills in 15 airports and a variety of historic scenarios!
  • 3 minutes to Midnight, the humorous puzzle game, is now available on the App Store for under $6.

Dino Quake is available on Play Store and App Store. Prevent an alien invasion in this fun platformer! As for Mutazione, it's out on the App Store for $10. Play as Kai and set sail on an island populated by cute, well-written characters to solve its mystery...!

In Final Outpost: Definitive Edition, take the lead of a camp of survivors, organise resource collection and defend against brain-eaters on Play Store and App Store, for less than $5! Slayaway Camp 2: Netflix and Kill is finally coming out of its exclusive deal with Netflix to land on Play Store and App Store. Slay anything that moves in themed levels inspired by films!

We end this section with Doodle God, the free game of the week on the Epic Game Store.

Pre-registration, announcements, updates and testing phases

  • Enter the Gungeon is gearing up for its arrival on Play Store and App Store on 15 August, with an incredible arsenal of weapons, bosses as venomous as ever thanks to their bullet hell patterns and pixel-art maps. It will also be hitting the stores with its spin-off, Exit the Dungeon, and online co-op.
  • SNO Snow White will hit Play Store and App Store on 12 July 2025. This premium game, which has just opened pre-registration, lets you take control of a former AI field agent who has gone to a frozen planet to examine its ruins.
  • Fate War, a strategic island simulation set in a world devastated by the notorious Ragnarok, arrives on Play Store and App Store on 4 August. Manage your town and its inhabitants and prosper from your resources and raids in the fantasy lands!
  • Bridge Constructor is out on 17 July on Play Store, App Store and console. Each level is a puzzle to be solved with no budget limit, across 5 biomes that look like miniature cartoon sets.

Last but not least, Chant of Sennar hits Play Store and App Store on 26 August. Immerse yourself in a revisited version of the Tower of Babel. On each floor, the people who live there speak a language that you'll have to decipher on your own.

Other news and events from the mobile games industry

There's more from the mobile JV industry this week:

  • Black Clover Mobile, voted best mobile game of the year by the Mobi.gg community at the 2023 Mobi Awards, is now bidding farewell. It will close its doors on 21 August 2025.
  • Shadowverse Worlds Beyond has been bombing across platforms since its free-to-play release on Play Store and App Store. Whether it's for the lack of a French version or for its dubious monetisation, the game is being brutally trashed and has even achieved an "extremely negative" rating on Steam.
  • On Fortnite until 15 July, you can discover the 32-player Blitz Royale mode, with gameplay that varies from match to match and just 5 minutes to dominate the game.
  • HoYoverse is offering both its Nendoroid figurines of Kaeya and Xiao, planned since 2022, and a themed café on its licences in Berlin. The figures are still in production, but we should know more soon.

See you next week for a recap of mobile games news!
