In this week's recap #192, we take a look at the week's must-have mobile games releases, mobile news and pre-registrations/test phases not to be missed.

Sit back and relax as we round up all the week's mobile games news! On the agenda: Tribe Nine baseball, pre-registrations for Haiku FLY High, Pokémon GO could be sold for an incredible sum, and lots of other news to share with you this week.

Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Tribe Nine makes its debut in the Crunchyroll Game Vault subscription on the Play Store and App Store. Inspired by the manga of the same name, the game combines 3D combat and 2D pixel art exploration. Tribe Nine features extreme baseball-inspired battles across the 24 cities of Neo Tokyo.
  • Amusement Arcade Toaplan is available on Play Store and App Store. A collection of arcade classics from the 80s and 90s is coming to mobile, with Truxton available for free at launch and 24 other titles available to buy.
  • Grand Mountain Adventure 2 is out on Play Store and App Store. The open-world ski game returns with 4 resorts, paragliding and zip-lines. Available for €10.
  • I Am Your Beast has arrived on App Store. Action game in comic book view, where you play a soldier on a mission of vengeance. Available for $10.

We continue our recap with Shoot'n Shell , available on the App Store. This demanding, fast-paced, hand-drawn twin-stick shooter is available for $4. Meanwhile, Big Time Sports, a minimalist arcade game based on various sports, has made its debut on the App Store.

You can also try out Stick World-Z Zombie War TD, a basic pixel art defence game reminiscent of the Flash games of the 2000s, on Play Store and App Store. Novel Rogue from KEMCO, a roguelite deck-building game with four distinct universes, is available for €9 on Play Store and App Store.

We end this section with the release of Ragnarok Idle Adventure, a PvP and PvE MMORPG based on the lore of the Ragnarok licence, on Play Store and App Store.

Pre-registration, announcements, updates and test phases

  • HAIKYU! FLY HIGH opens pre-registration on Play Store and App Store. The mobile volleyball game inspired by the Haikyu!! anime features side-view matches and uses the original voices from the series.
  • Mecharashi to be released worldwide on 20 June 2025 The Chinese mecha fighting game Mecharashi will finally be available worldwide, combining strategic action with sci-fi inspiration.
  • Gordian Quest will be released on 27 March. This card and tactics game combines hero management and strategy, with over 700 cards and 800 skills to collect.
  • Claws & Chaos opens its pre-registration on Play Store and App Store. A fun and cute auto-chess game where animals go head-to-head in PvP. Pre-registration opens on 27 February.

Then there's DC Dark Legion, a gacha-RPG from FunPlus featuring heroes and villains from the Dark Multiverse, which is now open for pre-registration ahead of its release on Play Store and App Store on 14 March. Duet Night Abyss will have its test run from 20 to 28 February on Play Store and App Store. It's an RPG inspired by Genshin and Warframe, combining magic and technology.

Meanwhile, Atuel is coming soon to Android. This documentary game explores the landscapes of the Atuel river in Argentina and the impact of climate change. Pre-registration is also open for SD Gundam G Generation Eternal on Play Store and App Store, offering over 500 mecha combinations and missions based on Gundam licences.

We continue with the release of the narrative game Your House on 27 March 2025, as well as the release of NBA 2K All-Star in China on 25 March 2025. And finally, Console Tycoon will be arriving on Play Store and App Store on 28 February, giving you the chance to run your own business and develop consoles from the 1980s to the present day.

Other news and events from the mobile games industry

There's more from the mobile JV industry this week:

  • Pokémon GO could be sold for $3.5 billion. Niantic is reportedly considering selling Pokémon GO to Savvy Games Group via its publishing arm Scopely. The deal could be worth up to $3.5 billion.
  • Amazon is closing its mobile store, except for Fire TV and Fire Tablets, making way for new players such as Epic Games Store Mobile.
