In this week's recap #180, we take a look at the week's must-have mobile games releases, mobile news and pre-registrations/test phases not to be missed.

Sit back and relax as we round up all the week's mobile games news! On the agenda: the release of Pokémon TCG Pocket and JJK Phantom Parade, news of Rainbow 6 and the release of Genshin TCG.

Mobile games releases of the week

This week has been rich in release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:

  • Pokémon TCG Pocket on Play Store and App Store presents itself as a light experience centred on opening boosters and managing your Pokédex. Battles can be played in automatic mode, ideal for players looking for a more relaxing experience.
  • Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains offers an immersive experience inspired by the anime of the same name. This gacha RPG on Play Store and App Store lets players explore ghoul-infested Tokyo and relive the mythical scenes with the iconic characters.
  • Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade features exclusive content to enrich the game's universe. The launch on Play Store and App Store already includes a collaboration with MOBA Honor of Kings, strengthening ties with fans of the series.
  • Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice challenges players to manage a city in survival on Play Store and App Store. This free urban management game requires strategy and resilience to build an empire.

Tokyo Revengers Last Mission, with its 3D graphics and captivating challenges inspired by the anime, is available on PC, Play Store and App Store, while Overlord: Lord of Nazarick, developed in collaboration with A PLUS Japan, is also available on Play Store and App Store. The game is based on the anime universe, with dungeons, boss battles and PvE and PvP exploration of the world of Yggdrasil.

Version 1.6 of Stardew Valley mobile is out and includes an experimental multiplayer mode, accessible via a secret code. League of Masters brings a new auto-chess to Play Store and PC with a captivating PvE campaign and a wide choice of commanders and fighters to master. Rounding off the releases is the tactical RPG Haze Reverb, featuring 9v9 turn-based combat in a post-apocalyptic world, on Play Store and App Store.

Pre-registrations, announcements, updates and testing phases

In addition to the recent releases, we've got more test announcements and pre-registrations in stock this week:

  • Rainbow Six is preparing for its worldwide release with two test phases. The official date has yet to be announced.
  • PUZKIN is a sandbox-style MMORPG in development that lets players build, fly and explore with colourful avatars, in a cartoon universe inspired by toys.
  • The closed beta of Neverness to Everness is being prepared for players in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. This RPG, in simplified Chinese only, is currently reserved for PC gamers.
  • Gran Saga is finally in early access on Play Store and App Store after a three-year wait. The MMORPG is available on Android, iOS and PC, but the overall release date has yet to be confirmed.

We continue with Transformers Eternal War, scheduled for 2025, which will offer robot fans the chance to collect and fight with iconic Autobots and Decepticons on mobile. Then there's Com2uS, which is preparing an RPG inspired by the Destiny Child licence and developed by Tiki Taka.

The gacha RPG Echoes of Vision, developed by Azur Flame, goes into open beta on 13 November. Set in a post-apocalyptic city, the game combines investigation and supernatural combat. Then there's Reviver, an indie narrative puzzle game inspired by the butterfly effect, which will be available this winter.

Tales Runner RPG opens its pre-registrations, promising a rich fantasy world with various continents to explore. And finally, Saint Seiya EX is entering soft launch in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Other news and events from the mobile games industry

The mobile JV industry has other news in store for you this week:

  • Rust Mobile, also known as Codename Outpost, has been confirmed as the mobile version of the popular survival game Rust. A closed beta is planned for China this month, and a Discord server is available for fans.
  • Fans of Genshin Impact can now enjoy a physical version of the trading card game, launched by ShiningSoul. This edition features pre-designed decks and booster packs to add to your collection.
  • RPG Arknights will soon be unveiling a new anime entitled Rise from Ember. This adaptation, currently in production, promises to deepen the game's complex universe with rich lore and fascinating characters.
  • Studio MoreFun is working on Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, a martial arts game with supernatural characters. Development is underway and the first tests are open to Chinese players.

Mobile Legends fans can now treat themselves to Swiss jewellery and watches inspired by the game's lore, thanks to the Mooton x Fairrie collaboration. And finally, to mark its second anniversary, Nikke is preparing an anime adaptation in partnership with A-1 Pictures, in addition to various events and expansion in China.
