Inazuma Eleven: Cross: Level-5 unveils a surprise new mobile game!

Level-5 has sprung a surprise on fans of the licence with the unexpected announcement of Inazuma Eleven: Cross. While gamers are still enjoying Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road on PC and consoles, the Japanese studio is back with a title designed exclusively for the mobile market.

What is Inazuma Eleven: Cross?

The least we can say is that Level-5 is capitalising on its cult franchise created in 2008. Between manga, anime and PC and console games, the universe is vast. Fans of sports games and Japanese culture have plenty to look forward to! With Inazuma Eleven: Cross, the publisher is offering a different experience, designed specifically for Android and iOS.

This new mobile-only opus looks set to be a strategic football simulation. Here's what we know about the gameplay:

• A new storyline: The game introduces an original story driven by a brand new character (I don't have any more information to give you at the moment).
• A managerial role: Players will be at the heart of the tactics. You'll have to manage your team, your formations and maybe even recruit some new footballers.

Another sure thing: the game will take place on... a boat. Why not?

Want to try out the game before anyone else? To take part in this closed beta, you'll need to be quick on your feet and point your VPN towards Japan.

Here are the details of this test phase:

• Registration period: Until 22 January 2026 via the official form.
• Beta dates: From 29 January to 5 February 2026.
• Limited places: Only 20,000 players will be selected (probably split between iOS and Android).
• System requirements: iOS 16 or Android 10 (and later versions).
