Epic Games has finally released the news: Fortnite will be back on Android on March 19 (yes, that's tomorrow!). We told you about the end of the conflict between Epic and Google in a previous news item, and it looks like the hatchet has been definitively buried!
6 years after the start of the war between Epic Games and Google, Fortnite is making its big comeback tomorrow, March 19 2026, on the Android store. The announcement was made on X (formerly Twitter) and on the game's official YouTube channel.
However, we don't yet know exactly when Battle Royale will be released on the Play Store. What we do know is that you'll be able to collect your account and your progress.
As a reminder, in August 2020, Fortnite was banned from the Play Store after Epic Games attempted to circumvent Google's 30% tax on microtransactions. In response, Epic Games took Google to court over issues of illegal monopoly, winning the case in 2023.
To kill two birds with one stone, Epic is announcing the return of Fortnite on Android at the same time as the arrival of Showdown, chapter 7 of season 2 !

Epic Games hasn't revealed much about the content, but it's a safe bet that Android gamers will be able to enjoy it too.
So it's now official: Fortnite will once again be part of the Android landscape from tomorrow!
