Following the arrival of Florabelle and in the run-up to the new season of AFK Journey, a new desert area has been announced by Farlight Games, along with two new characters. Get ready to continue your adventure in Esperia in a rather hostile environment, where you'll be accompanied by a mysterious young companion... Let's see what's in store for us with this AFK Journey update.
A new desert area to be unlocked in the next AFK Journey update
With the arrival of Song of Strife, the new season of Farlight Games' game, a new zone will appear in the AFK Journey update: Ashen Wastes, a desert environment, a land of hostile beasts, new inhabitants with an unknown culture, but also new mechanics.
In Ashen Wastes, the wind will change the landscape and the location of the dunes, to recreate the authentic atmosphere of the desert. Watch out for sandstorms, and much worse...
Get ready to discover a whole new biodiversity in the AFK Journey update (vultures, lizards, snakes, etc.), with oases teeming with flora and fauna, as well as the local people, the desert tribes, in particular the Uru clan.
As well as offering a brand new environment to explore, the AFK Journey update has another surprise in store, as a mysterious young companion will be joining you on your adventure. For the time being, Farlight Games has not revealed any further information about the companion's identity.
Two new characters announced for AFK JourneyF update
In a Tweet on 18 April, the developers announced two new characters for the AFK Journey update, to coincide with the new season and the arrival of the new zone.
For the moment, their identities remain a secret and no information has been revealed on the official AFK Journey website. From their silhouettes, it doesn't seem that these two characters belong to the AFK Arena universe. So we'll have to be patient and wait for the AFK Journey update to find out who these new heroes are, who will soon be able to join your roaster!
