Look out for the AFK Journey release date on 27 March!

Lilith Games is no stranger to mobile games. With Call of Dragons, AFK Arena and Rise of Kingdoms in its catalogue, it is one of the most established developers and publishers on the mobile market, with which few other studios can compete. And Lilith Games is about to do just that, with the release date of AFK Journey, its next RPG, fast approaching. Let's find out what's in store for this colourful title.

AFK Journey release date announced for the end of March

The game has had a string of betas, and had the opportunity to win over the mobile community on several occasions in certain regions of the world. Now we know that the global release date for AFK Journey has been set for 27 March 2024. To mark the occasion, an enchanting trailer has been released on the game's X account. Graphically, it's totally my style. And I can tell you that Mobi.gg will be in the game for the release.

The game's main features are

• A hand-drawn 3D open world to explore in portrait mode,

• Free exploration of Esperia like never before using a motion stick and interacting with NPCs, loot and scenery,

• Collect and upgrade heroes with theorycraft,

• Real-time tactical combat with ultimate attacks and a hexagonal board to display your AoE,

• Classic AFK rewards that accumulate passively while you're playing or away from your screen,

• Esperia's comprehensive universe, with Lilith Games' in-depth story and puzzle writing that has made their productions so charming to date.

An open-world tactical RPG set in the same world as AFK Arena

You may be familiar with some of the faces in the visuals and the official trailer announcing AFK Journey's release date. Eironn, Brutus, Satrana, Lyca and Thoran are all familiar characters from another Lilith Games game... AFK Arena. All the lore will be shared between the two games, which will coexist in the AFK universe.

On the other hand, AFK Journey already has unique heroes like Viperian to unlock. The character design is the same and you'll fall in love with your roster of characters. I can't wait to explore Esperia because I love AFK Arena, its world, its characters and even its game design.

I often say that Lilith Games provide the best temporary mini-games in their games and that they could make full games out of them and I'll be playing them too. We'll see if this new style works for them once the whole world gets its hands on it!
