Throughout December, you've been voting to support your favourite Android and iOS titles, and we'd like to say a big thank you to the thousands of you who pushed hard for your favourite to win, with no fewer than 8195 votes! Just 36 games released in 2025 will go head-to-head for the first time, across 9 themed polls, ranging from indie games to shooters and MMOs.
After the first round, 9 winners will go head-to-head in the semi-finals. And in the end, only one will remain. Of the 3 finalists who fought it out on our social networks, only one will make it to the top of the podium to become the overall winner of the Mobi Awards 2025.
Let's start with puzzle games. For big brains, this is the category where you can shine. And it's fair to say that this year there's quite a variety: translation for Chants of Sennaar, time manipulation with Timelie and even world-altering crossword puzzles in LOK DIGITAL. But the one that really stole the show from the others was Monument Valley 3, our first favourite in the ranking, another masterly achievement by ustwo games. With 65% of the votes in the bag, it was a landslide victory.

So let me convince you to try this little gem. As with the first two games, which you don't need to know anything about to try out this 3rd opus, this is a puzzle game based on impossible geometry. You manipulate 3D space and optical illusions with the tip of your finger, rotating or moving entire pieces of scenery. Inspired by the work of Escher, this colourful, minimalist world features free exploration mechanics like boat travel and a poetic visual narrative. You'll love watching your little characters progress through this pastel world, and you won't be able to stop smiling as you pass each of the puzzles.
It runs on virtually all phones, Android and iOS, appeals to everyone and is a journey into a world as impossible as it is wonderful that will leave you with some very fond memories. For just $5 after two free chapters, frankly, you've got nothing to lose.
I have to say that you've blown the lid off this category. There must be some serious shooter fans in the community! A huge number of you voted, with almost 1,000 people supporting their favourite mobile game from Acecraft, Ricochet Squad, Delta Force and Rainbow Six Mobile. And while I was expecting to see a fairly close match with big licences like R6 and Delta, that wasn't the case. Delta Force won hands down with 46% of the votes, followed by Acecraft and its supercharged shooter formula, which I highly recommend.

Delta Force is a cocktail of shooting and infiltration in a PvP war simulation on a huge map. Add a fleet of vehicles of all types, from boats to helicopter gunships and tanks, 24-on-24 combat, destructible environments, squad-based gameplay, game modes and different operators to try out with customisation options... and you've got a vague idea of what Delta Force is all about. You'll have a vague idea of what Delta Force's dynamic 120 FPS formula looks like, with plenty of loot and strategic shooting. It's free-to-play on Android and iOS, and we'll be back for at least another year.

Once again, many of you turned up, and you liked everything about this category, even though Subnautica won with 35% of the votes. And we can't blame you, because planet 4546B is a special place for us too. Long live spaceship crashes and thank you Alterra. The space company left you and your crew to fend for yourselves on the mysterious planet 4546B, where you crashed after an explosion. And it's mostly covered in water... So pluck up your courage and dive in if you dare.

Discover wild life forms, crack more and more technologies, find survivors and try to return home with the means at hand. The most unlikely fish await you in the abyssal depths, but so do leviathans and perhaps even more terrifying things. Subnautica is the perfect blend of survival and a solid story that grips you from start to finish. Grab a pair of headphones, settle back on your sofa and explore this nugget from your phone for $10.
In this fourth category, the spotlight is on MMOs. We've had some very, very heavy stuff this year, with Once Human, Crystal of Atlan, but also the colourful and enchanting space of Blue Protocol and the adorable universe of Pandoland. There was something for everyone, and I have a feeling that 2026 has at least as much in store. But there can only be one winner, and this one is overwhelming. It's a no-match for Once Human, which took almost 50% of the votes on its own.

Its success is probably due to its unique post-apo survival atmosphere. You take on the role of a meta-human on the devastated continent of Nalcott, on the water, in the air and on land, where monsters and anomalies as well as other ambitious meta-humans can be found. Manage needs such as hunger and thirst, crack, build and defend your base in the face of adversity. Alone or with others, you can engage in harvesting, tinkering, managing your base on the move and battling aberrations in PvE , or beating up on your neighbours in PvP, of course. Once Human is available for free on Android and iOS.

The fifth category of the Mobi Awards is dedicated to the unexpected gems, the little indie games that take us into new territory we never knew existed. Here we find TOEM and its black and white photographic spirit, the summits of Grand Moutain Adventure 2, the action of Bricks Breaker RPG and the sweetness of Good coffee, Great coffee.
The winner comes from the top of the slopes, with Grand Mountain Adventure picking up the votes like an unstoppable snowball. Put on your ski boots and hurtle down the slopes of various alpine peaks in an open world.

On and off the slopes, have fun testing everything: slalom, chutes, freeride and anything else you can think of. The game offers a free demo mountain and a pay pack to unlock all 7 mountains in the full game. Grand Mountain Adventure features a host of skiing and snowboarding challenges , including super-G, avalanches and mountain life with its wild animals, plus the option of playing multiplayer games with up to 16 players on the same wifi network. You'll need $9 to access the full game on Android and iOS.
Adventure in all its forms is honoured in this sixth category. With style in Infinity Nikki, with poetry in Mumrik and his Moomins, with an icy chill in Game of Thrones Kingsroad and a little extraterrestrial touch for the incredible Crashlands 2.
George R.R. Martin 's writing has helped the licence stand out from the crowd. And Kingsroad has all the makings of a great one: it's an action-adventure RPG that brings the continent of Westeros to life like never before.

You are now the illegitimate heir of House Tyre in the North, and you are on a quest for glory to restore the honour of your name. Rediscover the emblematic regions of the Seven Crowns, make alliances, betray, explore and spill blood if need be, against your friends or in support of the Night's Watch. Play as a knight, mercenary or assassin and learn to master the strategic combat system based on timing and reflexes for your parries, dodges and skills, to get the most out of the game solo or with other lords, free-to-play.
For this 7th round, there's no need for enormous skill or an ultra-dense brain, the important thing is to enjoy a fun , no-holds-barred gaming session . The contenders: Disney Solitaire, Archero 2, Bump! Superbrawl from Ubisoft and Mo.co from a tiny Finnish studio best known for its indie game Clash Royale.
Although Supercell has a disastrous track record in terms of game survival, its latest offering, Mo.co, still has a long way to go. It even won the title of best casual game this year with 53% of the votes, well ahead of Archero 2.

If you're not afraid of a farm, Mo.co will take you on a fun and original monster hunt. Join the start-up Mo.co and explore its dungeons - the Rifts - full of monsters to beat up. Each dungeon lasts just a few minutes. Game builds are flexible, you can complete your set with a bit of synergy theorycraft, and farming really does take care of itself in this mob-bashing RPG. It works well, it's simple, addictive, casual and totally free, so go for it.
⚡ Mobi.gg tip: we've put together a top list of the best casual mobile games, so you can discover other chill worlds!
In our favourite options for 2025, we chose Sonic Rumble with almost 30% of the votes, Kingdom Rush Battles with 21%, the battle royale Squid Game Unleashed with 13% and the winner FIFA Rivals with 37%.

Mythical Games and Bacon Games bring you an arcade-style experience in FIFA Rivals , with an NFT system for collecting digital cards from official players. In turn-based or real-time mode, alternate between precision shots and strategic decisions after assembling your team of favourite players to dominate the pitch. This sports simulation offers a competitive and intuitive feel that works very well on mobile and is available free on the Android and iOS stores.

We now come to the final category of these group stages, that of the best mobile RPG of 2025. Boosted by Persona 5 The Phantom X, Duet Night Abyss, Where Winds Meet and Chaos Zero Nightmare, this category has everything to please with its high-calibre mobile games. But this end-of-year phenomenon barely left any for the others: Where Winds Meet swept aside its rivals with 57% of the votes in its pocket.

In-game, immerse yourself in medieval China as a young sword fighter. In the midst of an overloaded Chinese-style UI, you explore a Wuxia open-world of magical lands. With a tried-and-tested free-to-play model and a detailed adventure, Where Winds Meet sends you through stunning landscapes, engaging in dynamic combat and slaughtering mobs at every turn. The NPCs are brimming with detailed backstories and are dying to tell you all about their lives to make this magical world ever more lively between battles, and it works like a charm.

It's the start of the impossible battles. Now that the pool stages are over and each category has a winner, it remains to be seen which one will be voted best game of the year by the community. The 9 champions in their respective categories share the semi-finals. The first match pits Monument Valley 3, winner of the Puzzle games, against Delta Force on the Shooters side and Subnautica mobile in the Major ports category.

Monument Valley collapses and Subnautica comes within a whisker of the podium, since Delta Force won your votes on the networks and apparently you'd rather go undercover and shoot your mates in the back than learn to swim the breaststroke with leviathans. The first finalist has been selected, but who will he face?

For this second semi-finalist, we have Once Human , an MMO, ready to take on the RPG Game of Thrones Kingsroad and the sliding game Grand Mountain Adventure 2. And it didn't disappoint, as Once Human was knocked out of the running and automatically qualifies for the podium at the Mobi Awards 2025.

And we have some serious contenders for the title of mobile game of the year with these three semi-finalists: Mo.co for casual games, the heir to the giant Supercell, competitive arcade football with FIFA Rivals and the Wuxia expanses of Where Winds Meet. On our networks, you all agreed that Where Winds Meet should be the finalist with 62% of the votes, and we understand why.
Here we are with a top 3 in survival, infiltration and swordplay. Radically different worlds, but all very dynamic and immersive. After counting your votes, we've come up with a clear-cut victory.

Once Human took third place with its mobile bases and monstrous aberrations, winning 19% of the vote.

Delta Force, with its handsome 29% of the vote, came second in the Mobi Awards, in the shadow of the big winner.

In the end, you voted Where Winds Meet as the best mobile game of 2025. It's good to see something other than an ultra-famous licence at the top of this ranking. And frankly, having played it quite a bit, the game is, no pun intended, a breath of fresh air in its category.
