Neverness to Everness Headless Rider: location, best team and strategy

The Neverness to Everness Headless Rider is an Anomaly boss. Once you've unlocked it, you can fight it again in the Exploration Guide, for 60 Pïxels. In this guide, I explain where to find him, how to beat him and the best teams to fight him.

Unlocking and location of the Headless Rider NTE?

The Headless Rider is an Anomaly boss from Neverness to Everness.

Here's how to unlock his battle, and his location in Hethereau:

1. Buy a car: you can invest in your first vehicle very early on in the game. To do so, you'll need to reach Tycoon Level 2 - see our NTE beginner's guide for more information on the early game.
2. Change the game time or wait until evening : the Headless Rider NTE only appears at night (8pm).
   
   
3. Go to the City Magnate menu >Hethereau's Hobbies > Anomaly Commission
4. Select the "Ride Assault" commission
5. Drive to Fox Window Street
   
   
   
   
6. Wait for the message that you are entering an anomaly zone
7. Chase the biker in your car. This will take you to the Neverness to Everness Headless Rider zone.

Anomaly weaknesses

The NTE Headless Rider is weak to the Espert Anima attribute. However, it has no particular resistance.

The best team to beat the Neverness to Everness Headless Rider

Now that you know the Headless Rider's weakness, you need to build a team around the Anima attribute to trigger Esper's reactions:

• Curse (Anima + Incantation): inflicts an additional follow-up attack stack equal to 20% of Anima and Incantation damage taken over 12 seconds.
• Discord (Incantation + Chaos + Anima): Reduces the Break bar of NTE Headless Rider, allowing them to be staggered more quickly.
• Blossom (Cosmos + Anima): Generates a life bud near the Headless Rider. This bud causes 5 pistils of life to hatch. These then fly towards enemies within range, exploding every two seconds. The pistils deal AoE damage.
• Charge (Lakshana + Cosmo + Anima): combines with Blossom and gives the active character 10 ultimate energies when the pistils do their damage.

• Take time to observe the patterns of the NTE Headless Rider: the boss performs a series of attacks, ending with a move that you can parry. These moves are indicated by a red cross a few seconds before they are triggered. Pay close attention to this pattern so that you can parry at the right moment. • Dodge ghosts: when the NTE Headless Rider drops to half its HP, it summons ghosts that will charge towards you. This attack is indicated by a long blue trace on the ground and appears a few seconds before the charge. You'll need to dodge them at the right moment to avoid taking damage.
